Bobby Patton came to my house for a free quote. He told me what the most efficient way to seal the attic was and some other alternatives that were less efficient, but required less up front work by me prior to them arriving. He also told me exactly what prep work I needed to do for the most efficient insulation job. He answered all my questions and was very informed on the spray foam product. He then emailed me a bid promptly the next day. I then called him back with a few questions and we picked a date for him to come out. They did postpone the installation twice, but Bobby called me in advance and was flexible on the future dates. My biggest concern was getting the job done by the end of the year for the 2010 tax credit and that happened, so no complaints. His crew arrived the morning we scheduled and were very professional. They closed off the attic openings to keep the foam and fumes out of the house, covered items in my attic storage with plastic, and laid plastic on the flooring where they needed to work. Bobby showed up to check on the progress that morning and told me to call him with any problems. No problems and the crew did an excellent job. Even though our contract required 50% up front and 50% at completion, Bobby told me I could pay in full on completion. Overall, they did an excellent job. I did not bid the job out to multiple companies so not exactly sure how competitive the price was, but I thought it was reasonable.
