Not well. Town stated in writing our property would not be involved in construction. Told contractor in person where utilities were buried. Placed No Trespassing signs in Spanish and English in our yard to mark property line and metal sprinkler heads. Utility locating service marked utility lines with flags and paint. The lines and flags were clear about cable locations. The contractor still trenched through our neighbors' cable and phone line and then picked up and moved the No Trespassing signs so they could drive the huge trenching machine through our yard and over our sprinkler heads. The damage was done before we could get outside. There is no construction easement through our property. The Town Police say that when a No Trespassing sign is placed in a yard, the trespassers can be arrested. Once we got outside, we told them again where the cables were so our service would not be cut too. More neighbors a few houses down had the same trouble with the same crew. Further, the contractor was authorized to remove about a dozen half century old trees but then trenched under the drip line and through the roots of another 68 old growth half century old trees (mostly oak) and they are all expected to die in the next few years.
