Dream Renovations

Description of Work: There was an estimate for work at my house 2804 Fountain Head Dr and estimate and work at my elderly parents house at 4045 Bosque Dr. by Dream Rennovations. Travis from Dream Rennovations came to provide an estimate for the work to be done (New Fence and Concrete work) at my home (2804 Fountain Head Dr) he was timely. I am a program manager by profession and prepared him a job description and requirements. It clearly stated project materials to be used, my requirements, and questions regarding building permits and such. I noticed right away he had disregarded the info I provided. When we completed the walk through on the job to be done Travis said he would send a bid to me in two days. Instead I got an email 4 days later asking for another person to walk through the job. This was a total waste of time for me as I was getting many bids for the job. I did allow them to come back and walked through the project again with Travis and Ray. I did receive a bid 4 days later for only an alley side fence for 50ft and materials that were not in the job description nor were discussed. I have a 192 FT linear footprint to be replaced and I get 50ft of wrong materials for $6960. I sent an email reply to them and took them out of my selection process. Just to be clear here I got 22 other bids and none of them missed on the materials and most could do the whole 192 ft of fence for about the same cost that Dream Renovations quoted for 50ft. Mean while at my parents house Dream Renovations was hired (not by me) to remove and replace existing gutters, fix and repair facia board and eaves, paint the house and stain the fence. This was done without my knowledge and I am the person who does the maintenance and repairs to this home. I did conduct a walk through of the work being done at the request of my parents. He was using materials that were not right for this job and he was cutting corners every where. Where he replaced facia board it did not mesh with existing and looked very bad. He did not correct this and continued work. He then started painting and the repairs were not finished. Proper prep work such as sanding and calking were not done prior to painting. He did not even repair the holes left by removing the old gutters. My mother asked me to talk to him about the issues. I did and as I pointed out the problem he kept responding the same way. "I am a professional I do this for a living" the truth to the matter he was worse than an amature and his arogant attitude towards the customer makes him a failure. I did ask him if he had any pride of worksmanship and put quality behind his work. his response was "You get what you pay for". I stopped my discussion with him at that time.
