Pearce Contracting and Dirt Work

I contacted Waylon Pearce recently about demolishing an old house and pole barn in Athens. He sent us his bid right away. We contacted several other companies as well, and narrowed it down to Pearce and another firm in Athens. We chose Pearce, not just because his bid was competitive in comparison to the other bids, but because he seemed like a genuine person and has the kind of demeanor that would be good to work with. He let us know when he would be able to start, which was an accurate estimate. From that first phone conversation and each contact throughout the project, I always came away with the same impression: that he is a pleasure to know. Waylon was careful to have a clear understanding of what I wanted, and because we live 100 miles away, he kept us informed of their progress. The old house was found to have massive concrete footings heavy enough to support a factory. Whenever issues surface, you want a contractor with good common-sense solutions, and Waylon offered a workable option to deal with it. People who really know their job and are true to their word is such a relief these days. Waylon is diligent, dedicated, thorough, and has a great work ethic. He took extra time to get the homesite as level as a lake. Everything went smoothly. Seamless. We had no issues at all - only praise for him and the process. They demolished my pool and filled in the hole with fill dirt. They were very professional and courteous. We agreed on a very fair price for the job. They did everything that they said they would do. They got the job done in two days. I was very happy with the work they did and would recommend them to anyone needed work done.

Great company. Very courteous. Had to have a house demolished. They were very careful in not destroying my yard any more than necessary. It was a tricky demo. They accidentally broke my main water pipe to my new house. They stayed and made sure that was fixed. They also leveled the ground. They were very quick and efficient. The whole 1100 sq ft house was demolished, ground cleaned and leveled in one day.

Everything worked out great.
