My complaint is that the refinish began peeling up within 3 months. I followed the instructions the worker gave me about letting the tub sit and cure for the recommended time. I let it sit two days longer just to be sure. It began with the suction cups on the back of the bath mat pulling the refinish material up. I haven't used abrasive cleansers on it. It also scratches easily. I had a plumber out who looked at it and he said it looked like it needed a final coat of refinishing. The surface has been slightly rough since the surface was performed and seems to grab soap scum when used. This was not the quality of service I was anticipating. I read Tubs and Counters reviews before I purchased this deal and they were favorable. Unfortunately, my experience was not.

|It took several messages and phone calls before the workman finally came out Nov 1. Be aware that the product they use has highly toxic fumes and you will need to open all your windows, put pets and people outside until it dissipates. We used a HEPA air filter with charcoal to help remove the odor.

|The first guy taped around the overflow drain and did not prep it well. Within a month, there was paint chipping off with rust underneath. I initiated contact with Raphael. He was very concerned that the prep work was not done right and wanted to fix it himself.

|It took several times to reschedule. Because of prior experience, I decided to call and remind him of my 1pm appointment. The morning of, I phoned him to touch base and ensure that we were still on. After a few minutes, it was obvious that I had slipped through the cracks of his schedule again. However, he offered to come out a little later at 3pm. At 3:15pm, he phoned and asked if we could schedule on another day.

|I was pretty upset at that. I insisted that it be fixed that day as I was tired of arranging to take off work or moving my schedule around to accommodate. I didn't need the whole tub re-done - just the overflow. I had loosened the screws to make it easier for him.

|Since he was close to my area, he agreed to come over. It took 30 minutes to grind/prep and Raphael did a good job.

|I just wish that they would use some kind of tool (Outlook, Google) to help them with their scheduling. It's frustrating for the customer to initiate the contact and remind the provider that they have an appointment.
It's been over a year now and the finishing is starting to bubble up and split. I have tried reaching out to the SP, but they responding.
He resurfaced our tub, took extra care to cover everything before he started. The results were amazing! It looks like a new tub, at about 10% of the cost of having it replaced!
I would definitely recommend him to others.
I have set two different appointments to get the work done. They missed both with no communication. I had to contact them to figure things out and still haven't heard back from them or had the work done. Angie's List is helping me resolve the matter.
12/31/13: Tubs and Counters did finally come out. Here in Dallas, we had an ice storm and it set the company back. Once they came, they did a great job. They were friendly, professional, and I would use them again. They definitely redeemed themselves!!!
