The Woodsetter Inc

Parts are really good, some are not perfect. He initially estimated it to be a 3-4 day job but it took 7 days. He is a really hard working guy.

This project is one of our last major items in our home refurbishment. The owner, Don Lindahl, came out to my residence to measure and give me an estimate for this job. I interviewed Don along with at least four other contractors. Don has been laying wood flooring for about 35 years and knows his floors. This was the main reason that I picked him to do our project. Now that the project has been completed, I certainly made the right choice. I will say that he is old-school and somewhat of a perfectionist but that's what makes him so good. He insists on leveling the floor to his standards and provides his own adhesive that has a moisture control barrier.



In our job, the hardest part of this project appeared to be in removing our old hardwood flooring along with the glue. Don's helpers had to scrape the glue off with razor blades in order to totally remove it. Of course, they had to move our furniture from room to room. Once the glue was removed, Don begin leveling the floors which is a must if the new hardwood is going to be laid properly.

Once the floor was leveled and dried, Don and his helper began laying the floor. There were a lot of weird cuts especially in our kitchen area but Don made it all look easy. The job lasted longer than we had originally thought but there were a few items (for example, our refrigerator could not be moved out of our kitchen without removing the front 3 doors and more of the floors were uneven than we had thought) that were out of his control.



The whole project went great and my wife and I are very pleased with the finished project. Don even helped us get a much lower price for the purchase of our wood. There are many choices out there when it comes to hiring someone to lay your wood floors and let me assure you that if you choose Don the Woodsetter for your job, you will be as pleased as we are.
