The work Spectra Property Services did to our house was horrendous. Within a year of Eric Evans hitting us for over $13,000 for foundation work, multiple cracks in the living room tile appeared. A few tiles broke. The converted garage was visibly not level. Wood trim at one corner of the house bowed away due the foundation movement. When I called the owner, Eric Evans, he denied there was a foundation problem and continued to do so for months despite obvious evidence to the contrary. After months of Eric denying and dodging, we finally resorted to getting a lawyer to try and get Eric Evans to be an honorable business man and make it right. At one point, we paid an additional $400 for an engineer's report. The report cited vertical shift of over 2.3 inches in spots. The engineer described Eric Evens' work as "a disaster". Eric Evans said he would redo the work but refused to offer a warranty! How could I possibly let him near my property again with no warranty on his shoddy workmanship? To make matters yet even worse, he ended up denying we ever did business. I have his quote, our acceptance, screen shots of him posting the work in progress, his invoice and our payment for the work done. But he says we never did business! That is just one of several documented lies he told along the way. Check out the picture of what YOUR floor will look like in a year if you hire Eric Evans. I also posted a screen shot of when Eric Evans posted the work in progress, his quote to us and his invoice to us upon completion of the work. But remember, Eric Evans says we never did business! Good or bad, I review businesses on occasion. Some are good reviews, some are bad. I believe it is our duty as consumers to tell fellow consumers about good businesses and bad ones. Eric Evans is one of the most dishonest business people I've run into in the past three years. And as an owner of 8 rental properties, that's saying a lot. Everything I have posted is documented fact and/or my personal opinion on Eric Evans and Spectra Property Services. Proceed with caution. Better yet, find an ethical company and honest business person. Also, keep in mind that when you choose a business person like Eric Evans, it can end up costing you a LOT of money- money to have the work redone, attorney's fees, engineer's reports, redoing flooring and who knows what else? Choose wisely.
