Smart Temp Windows is a customer-oriented quality company.  The owner, Tony, and his co-worker (Vladimir) were always on time and polite.  At the interview, Tony and Vladimir both listened to my questions and provided prototypes of the window manufacturers they recommend.  Brochures were provided for me to read later.
Of the three window installer companies I interviewed, Tony was the only one who did not have a rehearsed sales pitch, and he was the most genuine. 
Work was done in a timely manner, and the workmanship is excellent.  They cleaned up after each individual window installation.  They are very skilled workers and their workmanship and finished product proves their capabilities.
I give them a 100% superb recommendation.  We are glad we chose them as our window installers.

Overall fairly satisfied.  They were easy to get a hold of and addressed any concerns I brought up.  It is a small crew and Tony gives the quote and does the install.  The price was a little higher then some other companies but I didn't want to have contracted workers installing the windows.  One window was catching and Tony called the manufacturer which I could've had them send it back but decided not worth the hassle since it only catches once in awhile.  Have found another window with same issue a few weeks later.  Only other problem is all the windows don't appear to be centered.  When you look at one window and compare to same type window and size they fit different.  Now that could be because of foundation movement and in order for windows to open properly they needed to do that I didn't ask.  Very professional, not pushy, and very accommodative.  They were usually on time.

This was a pretty painless project from our perspective. When I called Larry Burks, he came to our home, assessed the cost and had the contract back to me within about a day. There were no surprises, as he accurately assessed where wood had to be replaced and cost factors for the job. Both days the crew came to our home in a timely fashion, did the work, cleaned up and left--always very courteous and friendly. We paid half the cost up front prior to work, but Larry wanted us to live with the new windows a few days before we paid the balance, and he came to the house and did some touching up on caulk in a couple of spots.  Larry Burks is very professional and very easy to work with. He gives good information, i.e. he answers your questions thoroughly but doesn't weigh you down with info. We were very pleased dealing with him and his work crew and are having them come replace the windows on our back porch this spring. I highly recommend Larry and his company.

I did extensive research on windows to be replaced in my home.  Smart Temp Windows was one of the over 12 contractors I met with and provided a quote for the job. 
Tony at Smart Temp was consistently polite, prompt, professional and knowledgeable.
We decided to have several windows replaced by Smart Temp and are thrilled with the results. 
Tony kept us well informed along the way, was always very punctual and went above and beyond with the actual installation.

The guys were super.  They showed up on time, and worked very carefully and were total pros.  They were careful not to make a mess and they were very accomodating to a few special needs that we had due to a new litter of puppies. The windows look great, function perfectly, and we are totally happy with the windows and the company.  I would recommend them to anyone looking for a great company to replace their windows.

Larry Burks, our sales rep, took pride in his work and in the product he was selling and it was clear he knew what he was talking about.  His crew that installed our windows--Tony and Vladamir, were absolutely fantastic and settled for nothing less than perfection on each window they installed.  No shortcutting here.  I would absolutely use them again and would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a good deal.  As an added bonus, the company offers Angies List members a 10% off coupon--you can't go wrong.

I want to start off by saying I have a lot of windows in my house, and because I felt that my AC bill was way too high, and the paint on my window panes was cracking and peeling because of condensation in the winter along with the fact that I plan on being in this house for many years to come, it was time for new windows. I called several companies and got several estimates, and prices ranged from $14K to $31K.  I ended up going with dual pane, non insulated vinyl frame windows.  3 of the 4 companies I had come give estimates were very close in prices.  I was up front with all the companies and told them who all I was getting estimates from.  One guy immediately started bad mouthing the other company's, so he was out.  So it was down to Larry from Smart Temp and another company, and I went with Larry because he came across as the most genuine, and he has excellent reviews on Angie's List.He was very busy at the time so, we schedule for 4 weeks out, turns out he had a job get pushed out and called to ask if they could do the job early, which was great with me.  Larry has a crew of 2, both great guys, very friendly, explained what they were going to do, took great care to drape around where they working as to not make a mess.  They were very punctual, and made sure to leave their work area very clean.  Like I said, I have a lot of windows, so it took them a 5 days and they had to come one day the next week, but the crew was very good at keeping me informed of what was going on, and since they would tear out and replace one window at a time, that was OK with me.Larry told me my electric bill should get better, but he never made any kind of promises, because he told me there are too many factors involved, like how well the house was insulated, how well it was built, ect.The windows have been in for a little over a month, and I logged on to Champion Energy and looked back over last 2 1/2 years.In August of 2010, my bill was $522, in August of 2011, my bill was $519, and this August my bill was $427.  I know this is only one month, but I am very pleased so far.Larry and Smart Temp Windows did a great job, and I highly recommend them.

The process went very smoothly and the only small hitch was a leak on the bottom sill which was easily corrected by removing caulk that blocked one of the drainage ports. Larry, Vladimir, and Tony were very professional and answered any and all questions. They also made suggestions about future repairs to the house which will be very helpful in the future.I feel Larry and his crew are there not only to make sure that you are satisfied with the initial work but are their for you for any future problems. I highly recommend them and feel that if you are looking for a small, honest, personable, local company, these are your guys.

It was painless.  They are very efficient - and were here for less than a day.  I had contacted Larry last year to give me a quote, and then had to think about it.  He is very low key; no pressure at all to make a decision.  I am so glad I finally decided to make the change!!  He had 3 men show up on the designated day, and they were able to be gone by 4pm!!  I would definitely recommend that you give them a try.  One issue that did come up was that I got cited for not having a work permit pulled for the installation (Farmers Branch can be strict).  Larry took care of the problem, and it was easily (for me, anyway) resolved.  The house looks so much better.  It has really helped with keeping noise out...and the a/c definitely runs less often.

Larry was recommended to me by a friend who had worked with Smart Temp Windows in the past. He was highly recommended and therefore I met with Larry to go over my particular needs. What I appreciated from the sales cycle and in my early dealings with Larry is that he was never at any point in time "pushy" about selling me on his products or his services. He gave me all the information I needed and made himself available for any questions or concerns I had. It's important to note that I did not seek other bids after having received the quote from Smart Temp Windows. After having researched on Angie's List and with the strong recommendation from my friend I felt confident enough that Larry was giving me the lowest possible bid and that I would get quality results. Smart Temp Windows did not disappoint!
I was extremely satisfied with the work that Larry, Tony, and Vladimir did with my home. Something that stood out to me as I watched them work was the care that they demonstrated while removing, installing, and cleaning of each and every window. I could see that these guys treated my home as if it were theirs. They never rushed the job and were diligent, careful, and meticulous about the quality of their work. You could see that they were more concerned about delivering quality then they were about getting the job done early. Another important attribute of this company was trust. I trusted these individuals around my family and in my home. We saw how caring, respectful, and professional Larry, Tony, and Vladimir were and we are truly blessed to have met such great people.
As with any project, not everything goes as planned. Unfortunately, we did hit a few road bumps along the way, but what differentiated this company was the manner in which the situations were handled or dealt with. Larry stepped to the plate each time and delivered. What I found impressive in my dealings with Larry is the way he related to me as the customer. He understood my concerns and was quick to remedy my needs and expectations by sacrificing his own. His company, in my opinion, epitomizes what a customer-oriented business should act like. He is fair and balanced and does everything he can to ensure that his customers are happy from beginning to end.
Overall, Smart Temp Windows has exceeded my expectations in all categories. They have demonstrated beyond a doubt that they are trustworthy, honest, hard-working, and ethical. I would not hesitate in the least to recommend them to others. Their product offerings and services are top notch and I'm looking forward to saving money as the energy efficient windows installed are already yielding favorable returns.

Larry and his crew did an outstanding job replacing the original windows and the patio door on our 1962 house. We had many quotes on the patio door and I was confused about what each contractor had told me regarding the foot lock. When I asked Larry about the foot lock on the sliding glass door his team installed, he informed me that this door did not have that feature. He then offered to install an extra bar-type lock on the door at no charge since he wanted me to be completely satisfied. I was very happy with the door anyway, just confused on the features, but accepted his offer of installing the lock. I appreciated Larry's down to earth personality and attention to quality and satisfaction.

The owner, Larry, came out with one of his workers and did an estimate of what it would cost do replace my windows and a large patio door.  They explained everything they were doing, what the process involved, payment and were extremely professional.  There was no high pressure sales pitch.  The day of the installation the crew was here on time and got the old windows removed and the new ones installed in a very timely manner.  Larry did come out to inspect the work before his crew was finished.  He then walked me though how to "open" my windows for easy cleaning and how to use the security system if I want to leave my windows open at night.  He installed a security bar on my patio door and showed me exactly how to use it.  I could not have asked for a better experience.  This is an extremely nice and professional  company to work with and I'm delighted with my new windows. As I was having my taxes prepared, I needed to know how much of the cost was windows and how much was labor.  I called Larry, who was out of town on vacation, and he very quickly got me the information that I needed.  He emailed me and then promptly called me ans walked me through the itemized bill, so that I was fully aware of what part of the statement was windows and what part was door.  The cost had to be separated for tax purposes.  He really went out of his way to bend over backwards and get the information that I needed in a hurry. 

We had an unexpected delay due to rain and severe cold weather. He did not want to open the house up to cold and cause the heating bill to go up. Overall everything went to plan. He even worked around a baby shower I had scheduled!

Larry was prompt and provided awesome followup during the quote and pre-installation process.  His crew was on time to the minute, went straight to work, worked like an army and focused on providing true craftsmanship in their work--in one instance actually correcting issues left by the builder to "do it right".  When they left, the area inside and outside the house was left in perfect condition too.  Absolutely recommend!!!!!

Larry did the estimate, told us who would be coming to our home to do the installation and how long it might take.  They arrived on time with a great attitude and got right to work.  They were kind to my 3 (very helpful) dogs and moved the furniture for me as my husband was working.  They were careful and treated my home as if they were working on their own.  I mentioned that there was a problem and they needed more man power and more tools to do that job in the required amount of time quoted.  My husband and I originally asked to only have 1/2 of the windows replaced but because of the great job they were doing and the great price, we decided to do the rest.  They came back when all windows were in and brought 2 or 3 more men and knocked the work out quickly.  Again... I can only imagine the additional costs that could have been racked up on this job but Larry flat out refused to allow me to give them more money.  I actually felt that they should have been paid more.  At the time, we really didn't have it to pay so it was a real blessing to us that they kept their promise!  They called if they had questions and called when they finished so that I could come by and inspect the work before they left.  It was perfect and I'm extremely pleased with all aspects of their work.  It was exactly as described and I can tell they take great pride in their work.  If you hear about windows for less, please do your homework first!

 All services were provided on time with  very close attention to detail . There was absolutely no scrap or trash of any kind left in the house or outside . The areas in which the work was done were tarped before work began and cleaned and vaccumed afterwards. All work was very professionally done and the results reflect that. It totally changed the look of our home for the better plus provided better energy efficiency and we are so glad we had it done. Most of all we are grateful we found Larry Burks and Smart Temp on Angies List and best of all they were right here in our area. We highly recommend Larry Burks and the people at Smart Temp to everyone.

From the initial contact, through the quotation process, and actual installation of the windows, everything was handled in a very professional manner.  Communication was superb.

Larry was on time for his appointment and was knowledgeable about his products and service. This was a no hard sale appointment! When we decided to go with Smart Temp, we ordered and had windows installed in 2-3 weeks. The installation was professional and the guys, Vladimir and Tony, cleaned up throughly. The installation was very good - caulking is thorough and neat. They installed a front door for us and spent 3 hours getting it perfectly level and smooth. Great experience and would recommend to anyone.

Larry came out promptly to give us an estimate on our broken window.  He ordered the glass and scheduled the work at my convenience.  On the day the work was done he arrived promptly and got right to work.  He and the gentleman working with him were polite and professional and very personable as well.  They repaired the window to my satisfaction, cleaned up after themselves, and then replaced the faulty parts on all of the windows in our house.  I highly recommend Smart Temp windows if someone needs new windows or glass replacement.  We intend to use them again if the need arises.

Larry received my inquiry and called me even though he was on vacation with his family.  When he returned to town, he came to the house to complete the estimate on the weekend. He had great suggestions and never tried to "over sell" his services. Windows were ordered promptly and the installation was scheduled.  His guys were prompt, courteous and professional.  Their installation and finish work was perfect.  Larry's follow-up before, during and after the job was refreshing. It is nice to have had the opportunity to have someone work on the house who obviously cares about each job.  Thanks!

This was an excellent experience. Larry Burke was great to work with providing answers to my many pre-purchase questions. Tony and Valdamir were very professional, showed up on time and cleaned up after themselves. There were some problems with the screens staying up to cover the window opening if windows were opened from the top. Larry worked with the manufacturer and stayed on top of the situation until the the necessary adjustments were made. The house is now cooler and much quieter. I wish I'd done this years ago.

I highly recommend smart temp windows. They were on time, reasonably priced, professional, exceptional craftsmen, and prior to leaving, they hauled all trash and left their entire workspace clean. Fantastic job!
