NEVER HIRE ..STAY AWAY

Arturo is responsive in the beginning. Then when the issues start coming up he always says he will come but never shows up. Drew is always late to work. The tiles are all laid uneven and now i have a home full of uneven tiles. Did not clean grout. had to spend lot of tile and effort to remove grout from the tiles. The company and the crew does not know how to lay tiles and level them. DO NOT HIRE!!!!!!!

We hired Arturo Palma to remodel our master bathroom. From the start, it appeared he hired subcontractors who were working a second job as the painters and plumber only worked at night. The painters did a terrible job on the cabinets. They did not sand or fill any areas. They also did not properly adjust the new hidden hinges on the cabinet doors. They painters were supposed to return, but we never saw them again, nor did we hear from Arturo. Today, 12/28/16, the shower door company came knocking on our door and said Arturo never paid them for the glass shower door, even though we paid him in full and the work was completed in September. The tile work itself looks great. I would still steer clear of Palma Expert Tile.

I am so unhappy the work from this company. Nothing was caulked. The flooring is coming up. Looks like the plank floors had damage prior to installation. I keep finding places where the painters cut corners. Parts of the ceiling were not painted. Drips. The ceiling was not finished smoothly, various trim pieces were not painted. The painters for some reason cut lines in the flooring near the doors. The cleaning people never came to clean up the mess in my home and my garage. The company owner jerked me around for months after saying they'd come fix everything. Ignored my calls. I can not find this company in the Dallas or Tarrant directories DBA records, and can't show they are a legitamate business.

Mr.Palma came to our home couple of months before the project start date. His contract is clear and concise, to the point as to what his team will deliver and what we have to provide. I got several quotes and his quote was in the middle but the reason we chose him was he did make a good impression the first time he came to give us the quote. He came really early morning to accommodate my schedule with some of his crew members. They measured and made sure everything is clean during the measure and afterwards. 
Once we were ready, Mr.Palma gave us the option for us to buy the material or he buy the material. We had already chosen most of the material so it was easy for us to let him order the material.
One main thing stand apart from most of the contractors is, Mr.Palma is hands on in all his jobs. He would start the demolition and layout the ground work, like the layout, installing the hardibacker and will build the framework, then his highly skilled crew members would complete the job even without his supervision. He treats them as his own family members and we can really see from their work.
We made couple of bad choices with the material, if any other contractor, they would have slapped it on, get their money and left, but he pointed out the design flaws and spent quite a bit of time correcting it and lead us in the correct direction.
Also he has sub contractors for anything outside his expert. Initially we were hesitant but then went ahead and hired them and we are so glad we did. They were competitively priced and did quality work just like Mr.Palma. We made a mistake of hiring a hardwood contractor way before I met Mr.Palma through the builder and it has been not a pleasant experience like our tile job. I wished Arturo has done this one too but it is too late and I had already hired the other contractor when I met him. His carpenter, glass door guy and the plumber are A number one.
There are lot of cheap contractors around and after seeing his quote if you think he is little on the pricey side, keep this saying in your mind, "The bitterness of poor quality lingers long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten" :) Trust me and hire him, you will not be disappointed and glad you did an will thank me. I wish had more projects and money to hire him, not right now, but in the future certainly will.
P.S - Until I hired him, I was checking his reviews and there were reviews almost every other day. The reason there is a big gap is, our project took him almost couple of weeks. Once he got committed to the project he made sure it finishes. This was the reason probably nobody has reviewed in a while.
