Spent several hundreds dollars and it still did not fix the problem.

I called this place inquiring about a ballpark estimate to replace the evaporator coil on a 2011 Mustang and the guy recommended that I take the cat to and upholstery shop? The fact he kept referring to me as "dude" didn't help either. VERY unprofessional!

I basically don't  trust anybody to work on my car.  Many years ago I worked in a garage and took a couple of auto mechanic courses before life took me in a different direction.  Since then I have always done my own work with just a few exceptions.  In this case I purchased the parts online and was going to do the work myself but kept putting it off for lack of time.  Then my mom passed away and I was faced with funeral arrangements and the duties of an estate executor.  Thats when I threw in the towel and decided to get a professional to do it.  And professionals are exactly what these people are,  They  agreed to use my parts after determining they were of good quality.  I trusted them from the start  and my instincts were proven to be right.  I recommend this business to anyone who values good old fashioned service and the pride that comes from a job well done.  I firmly believe that the cost and service would have been the same even if I had obviously known nothing about cars.  After this experience I decided to loosen up a bit and let them do more for me in the future,

I have been using Independent Foreign Car Repair for many years. We are a 4 Honda car family. They always do a great job finding the problem and completing the repair. Their prices are reasonable and they complete the work in a timely manner. I am thankful I have found a mechanic who I can trust.

Brakes repaired quickly and the car stops great. But this is not the whole story.
We've taken them a Toyota that had been at a Toyota Dealership for $3000 of work that didn't fix it, then to another independent who spent a week and $1600 trying to find the problem of it stumbling and missing (cylinder not firing) and the engine light staying on. Barney fixed it. No one else could. Then we had a Honda van with a sliding door problem. Dealer replaced motors, relays, etc. but the intermittent problem remained. Barney traced down the problem in a part that Honda said and quot;would never failand quot; and replaced it with one he got at a salvage yard. No problems anymore.
They are so good that when we bought another car, we checked with them first to see which one they would suggest.
These guys are simply the most honest and most efficient auto repair places we've ever had the pleasure to meet.

Barney, Delilah and the staff are knowledgeable, honest, fair, prompt, affordable and professional. They NEVER pressure their customers and are always straight forward about necessary vs. optional repairs/replacements, and have kept us driving safely for years as well as saved us alot of cash compared to a dealership or chain store. We have used this garage for Honda and Hyundai repairs for the past 6 years. Barney and his crew are diligent in determining a vehicle's problems and their service prices can't be beat. I recently had a warranty issue come up on one car very close to the end of warranty. Barney reserached the issue and referred me to the dealer instead of trying to do an out of warranty repair for me. In prior repairs, this company had always tried to find the most cost-effective solution to make a safe repair. Certinaly not my experience with a dealership.

From engine replacements to oil changes, the Youngs have done it all for me. I've been going to Independent for over 20 years and had several cars serviced through their shop. I've spent well over $10,000 in service/repair items over this period. Barnie and Delilah are not just a auto service, but great people and who I call my friends. I have been going to Independent Foreign Car for over 20 years. They have saved my life on many occasions. I will not let anyone else touch my Honda (except for inspections as they don't do them or body work which they also don't do). I recently was hit, and my first call was to Indepentent to find out where I should have the body work done. Of course, AutoTech services (place recommended) was great, too.
I cannot thank them enough for their help over the years. Customers come from all over - literally hundreds of miles - to have work done. Just sit in the waiting room and talk to the people there if you do not believe me.
I would travel a long distance, too, except that I am fortunate to live close to their shop.
I cannot tell you how many people with Hondas/Acuras I have recommended. Not one person has had a complaint.

They specialize in Honda vehicles. They are almost always cheaper than the dealer. I trust them. We have been going to them for over 15 years. I would recommend them. I own a Honda and I plan on continuing to use them.

Independent got me the car back the same day that I brought it in. They do excellent work and tell you ahead of time what is necessary and what could be done but what is not needed right now. They never try to do work that does not need to be done.

They were great from start to finish. Fixed my car at a reasonable price and were a pleasure to deal with.

They are very professional and knowledgeable. They don't push for you to have things done that don't need doing. If you think something needs doing and it doesn't they tell you and they tell you why. I have never had anything negative about them and I have used them for 20 years. I will be taking my car in for routine maintenance in a month.

They are a very small shop. They came recommended to me from the other automotive shop that I use for foreign car servicing. They are very good and reliable. They are very fair price wise.

They were prompt, and they took care of it right away while I was waiting.

I've had numerous services done at multiple intervals including: regular oil changes, timing belt replacement, trail arm bushings replacement, axle boots and brake pads with rotors replaced. They are always very accommodating and will always give you an estimate of the work. If they discover additional repairs that need to be done they will notify you. Additionally they will even make suggestions where it would be most cost effective. They use reputable parts and the work is excellent. They are comparable if not more competitive than most dealers.

They are very reliable and honest. They do good work and they only do the work that needs to be done. They don t try to have you repair stuff that isn't broken. We have used them for years and they have always done good work.
