This is the third time over the past six years that we have had HomeSafe clean our dryer vent. They are real pros. Our dryer is working well now. A day or two after the vent is cleaned, they send an email which includes a link to before-and-after cleaning photos and digital anemometer readings (air flow measurements). We are very pleased.

Inspected and took pictures of the dryer vent. Removed the existing 3” diameter dryer vent tubing. Cut a new hole lower in the wall. Taped over the old hole. Installed 4” diameter dryer vent tubing up through the roof of my one-story house. Installed a Dryerjack vent on the roof. Cleaned up everything. Total time about four hours. Parts cost about $100. Total cost $878. Everything went fine but in retrospect I overpaid.

Regardless, we understand that the total cost of this type of project is a lot--especially since it's very rarely something that is budgeted for. Sometimes it's easy to just hop online to look up the price of the products/parts for things like this, but often the material you find online is not the type of materials we use--although it usually looks very similar. (e.g., the 4 inch galvanized steel pipe/duct that you find in a big box store or elsewhere online isn't usually the same guage/thickness that we use). In any event, experiencing "buyers remorse" with any type of product or service is no fun. We hope knowing that we only use the best materials and products and doing everything we do..."the right way" will help to alleviate that feeling of you "overpaying". We NEVER price-gouge and we're always careful in our inspections, so the proposals we put together are reflective of both quality workmanship and quality materials. We are careful because, in every situation, we want to make it a "Win" for everyone involved. We do understand that a lower price can often be found, either by a person or company with less expenses/overhead or when inferior workmanship and/or materials are used. Anyway, we really hope the new & improved dryer exhaust system works exceptionally well for you and we're confident that the efficiency savings (not needing to have your dryer vent cleaned out nearly as often and having fewer & less frequent repairs on the dryer itself) will more than pay for the project. HomeSafe initially cleaned our long dryer vent (approx. 25 ft.) four years ago. We were pleased with their work then, so we called on them this year for another cleaning. Our customer experience with them from start to finish was nothing short of AMAZING! They've been in business for 10 years, and dryer vent cleaning is all they do. Using the latest technology they can see into your entire vent area, providing you with before and after photos (which are also emailed to you). We had 2 major trouble spots (aside from the vent cleaning) and had they BOTH not been corrected , the problem would continue. Trouble spot #1, the hose connection from the dryer to the vent was causing excessive lint/dust/moisture in the room (it was replaced and properly secured). Trouble spot #2, the exterior vent had major issues and was replaced with a magnetic closure unit (much more attractive than the old outdated unit). BOTH problems resolved once and for all! In the 30 years I have owned this home, NO ONE has ever been able to get to the root cause of these issues and correct them. The air quality in the laundry room and surrounding areas has gone up 1000%. I highly recommend the services of Home Safe Vent (see their website link below)) or call their number: 214-681-9848 (they take late appointments during the week and weekends). Jake started this company in 2009. From the front office to the field technicians, they couldn't speak more highly of Jake. When I offered the technicians bottled water, they told me that the owner makes sure that all of their service trucks are stocked with gatorade and bottled water. WOW! And, there is no trip charge because they will come out and give you a FREE estimate with NO obligation. They are extremely reasonable. You gotta try this company if you are in need of their service. It went great. They went over and above because after they put in the new vent I had a new roof installed and the roofers disconnected the vent and they came back and re-connected everything at no charge. The owner was extremely helpful and was very involved. He even contacted the roofers himself to get everything re-connected. I would definitely use them again and have already recommended them to several friends..

HomeSafe was great! Verasay said that the vent was clean but that the dryer vented to the outside via the attic vent. So he repositioned the dryer vent to a new dryer vent outlet that he installed on the roof. Verasay took photos and measurements throughout and assured me that the dryer was venting properly. Great service

Our dryer was taking lot of time so we got one of the highly reviewed and rated Dryer Vent cleaning companies from Angie's list to clean our dryer vent. They charged $100 plus tax and "cleaned" but with no difference - our dryer problem became worse. When we called that company the next day, they mentioned that our dryer duct is damaged/broken and referred us to HomeSafe Dryer Vent Cleaning company. We called Jacob (the owner of HomeSafe) and he arranged his crew to come over the weekend. The technician used advanced camera system to located bird nest about two feet inside the outer opening of the duct. Used latest technology equipment to remove bird nest, twigs, etc in less than 30 minutes. Fixed pest repellent closure (waived charges for additional metal duct pipe fixture to the duct on wall) and replaced dryer hose with best in class. Got industrial sized vacuum cleaner to re-clean the duct and checked air flow. Showed us the final pictures of the cleaned duct and meter reading. Totally satisfying experience. Kudos to HomeSafe for doing a phenomenal job. The owner worked with us to waive duplicate charges since the previous company had charged us money for making our issue worse. We generally don't write reviews, but we owe a big thank you to HomeSafe and want to make sure everyone gets to know our wonderful experience with them. Great job!!

The technician checked the dryer, the vent into the attic and the vent on the roof. He took pictures and explained the entire issue. He gave me choices on replacing the vent on the roof with an actual dryer vent and repiping the attic to shorten the distance the air has to flow. He cleaned the dryer and hose in back and gave me pointers to keep the lint to a minimum. I could not be happier with the outcome.

He was very diligent in getting a difficult venting situation cleaned out. There were 6 elbows to deal with & it took much longer than expected. The price remained the same as the estimate. I had the outside vent flap replaced as well as the vent duct from the dryer to wall replaced making for much better venting.

Virasay fixed everything and said my vent was clear so it didn't need cleaning at this time. He replaced the old duct work. He was very professional and knowledgeable. My LintAlert is working fine now. I have used HomeSafe before and am always pleased. They are a great company!

When I had to have my dryer repaired, the tech advised me to get the vent cleaned and recommended HomeSafe. They were prompt and professional. Even though it was Friday afternoon late they stayed until the job was finished. Turns out that the aluminum tube was been punctured and was leaking so they replaced it with steel and replaced the exterior vent. They explained everything and even had pictures to show the problem. All, I just wanted to call these guys out for great service. We all know you should periodically get your dryer vent cleaned out, but it's one of those things that is easy to put off and forget about. Well, After Kerri posted that video the other day, it took me a couple of days to look into it, but after looking around some, I sent these guys a request on their contact us web page about 10 PM last night. This morning, I got a call and they said it starts at $169 and can go up based on distance from dryer to outside vent and other things. But they will come out and do the inspection for free and we can choose what to do from there. So I of course said let's go ahead and schedule that fully expecting them to say we can be there in about 3 weeks. Instead I was told they could be here at 4 PM today. Once here they were clean and professional. I thought our ducting terminated on the roof, but wasn't positive. He checked the roof and didn't find it, but on a walk around of the house he found it. Turns out it goes horizontally between floors and terminates just under my office window. He called out that the type of external vent we had is no longer recommended and showed why. I also realized this was the clapping I've been hearing throughout the day since I've been working at home. the ducting had also come free of that vent and was recessed into the house a few inches and collapsing. And of course we had a lot of lint lining the horizontal run and the 90 degree turn in the duct. We let him do the work and are very happy with it.

We called HomeSafe based on a recommendation from Vee's Appliance Repair. We had never (shame on us) had our dryer vent cleaned. It definitely needed it. The work was performed in a prompt and courteous manner -- and we were informed about the work as it was being done. We will definitely call them within the 3-5 year recommended time frame.

They handled an exceptionally difficult job. Others didn't want to handle it. Didn't know how to handle it. These guys had a tough job and did an excellent job. They had to rebuild our whole dryer vent. They got it done. These guys do specialized dryer vents. I'm not sure if anyone else does it. The guy who did was really something. I'd rate them an A on every thing.
