We had some issues in the beginning. We were told that the tile removal would be a dust free process, they have special equipment that can decrease the dust by over 90%. Unfortunately we didn't get that, we got the jack hammers and mess. It was so bad that on the second day I went and rented industrial air scrubbers which Hilton's did pay for. My husband and I had taped everything off in plastic and removed everything off the walls, but the mess was unbelievable. Hilton's did send in a woman to clean which did help, but it took days for us to really clean the house. After the floors were done we absolutely loved the outcome and wished we had put it in our guest bath, but didn't want to go through the process again! The owner Chris Dodson was out of the country when my job was done, but heard about the problems we had. He met with us for over an hour on a Saturday afternoon. He listened to our issues, made no excuses for the miscommunication that had occurred and was very apologetic. I strongly believe that if he would have been here the situation would have been handled immediately. When we told him how we wished we would have put it in the bath, he offered to do it at no cost with the correct tile removing equipment. That job has been completed and let me tell you it was WONDERFUL experience! The dustless system is truly amazing, a real night and day difference. We are so impressed with Hilton's; they went above and beyond to fix an error that I honestly believe was made innocently. I will be using Hilton's again, and would recommend them.

We interviewed multiple companies to replace our tile and carpet with Vinyl Plank flooring. Hilton's was the one we were the most impressed with. My husband and I had planned to remove the tile ourselves, we did remove the carpet, but was convinced to allow them to do it after we were"sold" on their dust free removal equipment. Now we aren't idiots and knew full well that there would be dust, we took everything off the walls, removed drapes, covered and secured everything else in plastic. They came in with jack hammers and over 2 days filled my house with more dust and dirt than I have ever seen. There was dirt in my closed pantries, and kitchen cabinets literally had chunks of tile and concrete in them! All of the dishes, & silverware, food, medicine bottles, walls and ceilings..every nook and cranny was covered with dust. There were chunks of tile the size of a quarter on top of our kitchen cabinets that are 8 feet off the floor. I had turned off the air conditioner before the job started and didn't turn it back on (after changing the air filter of course) until the job was done. I sealed off all the doors with towels at the bases and plastic secured by painters tape around the frames, yet still those rooms sealed had dust in them. The dust was so bad we could barely breath, the workers didn't wear masks and kept coughing up gross stuff and spitting it in my kitchen sink. My 6 year old got so ill from the dust, I had to take him to the doctor and have him put on a stronger allergy medicine. I had to go out and rent 2 industrial air scrubbers, they had a "cleaning lady" come in to wipe down stuff. My husband & I spent 3 whole days cleaning and vacuuming the walls and ceilings, running load after load of dishes, and laundry, we had to replace our toaster due to the chunks of debris in the bottom of it, again it was in a closed cupboard about 4 feet off the floor. This was pure ****. The quarter round color didn't match the base boards, even after they took a sample to get it matched..they came back with primer white boards and our base boards are cream. They didn't even know they were supposed to stain the pieces of quarter round that went under the kitchen cabinets until I told them, of course this was in their work order. They door frames are all standing about 1 inch off the floor, so now we have to have them replaced...we've actually decided to have every area they worked in repainted including the mismatched base boards..because the walls are scratched, dinged, have areas of concrete on them. When I talked to the workers they claim there is no "dust free or decrease dust" system. When I complained to the sales man he said "yes there is it's sitting right here" He never offered to stop the job and make them come get the right equipment...and I had to fight with them to get them to cover the cost of the air scrubbers I had to go rent. The sales man even told me he should have sent a better crew out!! Not to mention they kept getting my invoices wrong and had I not caught it I would have been over charged by nearly $1000. Before all of this we were going to use them to replace all of our granite in the house, but there is no way I will ever use them again, and after the HORRIBLE experience we had I would caution all others before using them!

"I am sorry for Mr. [Member Name Removed] comments. We finished the job and he was really happy with our work. 2 Weeks later, they called and said the plumbing was backed up. I told them to call a plumber and send me the bill with his findings, if it was our fault, I would cover it. They found something in the plumbing that had nothing to do with our install or parts or products we carry. He was upset that we would not pay the bill. We use a shower system that has a warranty from Custom on it and I have not had any problems with it, but would be glad to come out and fix any issues or bring Custom grouts out to see what the problem is. We would like to take care of any issues that you have. Please feel free to call me anytime."

We received the quote for the job and then before the install, it jumped up like several thousand dollars. It was not an upsell. They said that they were not aware of the complexity of the job and yet, they were provided with all of the cuts, sizes, and everything. It was disappointing.

This company is family owned. I had some issues picking out countertops then matching backsplash. They offered a lot of assistance and finally a Silestone countertop was selected. Silestone had sent two different lots of countertop slabs and so there ended up being some delay and extra work on their part but they were fabulous in resolving issues and staying in touch with me throughout the process. The tile job is beautiful on the backsplash as well. They are very friendly and a great company to work with.

Very professional and friendly; couldn't ask for better people to deal with. As with any large remodel job they had some small problems but were quick to make everything absolutely right in the end. I would certainly use them again.

They were great. The price was great and the service was incredible. They were very personable and were right on time. They did a very large room in about a day and a half. It's great. I love the floor. What I think that Hilton's Flooring did that was so great was that, Chris I believe is the owners name, came out and looked at my situation and really offered various options and just gave better advice than anybody else I went to. They gave such personal service. I just didn't feel like I was just a customer going in and out the door. Anytime I need flooring done, I will go directly to them. I think the most valuable thing is their advice and experience. They had every product, I could have bought anything from them but they were more concerned about achieving the right products for my need than just telling me anything. They were interested in my business long term. The two guys who installed it gave attention to every detail. He couldn't have lined it up more perfectly. He knew exactly what he was doing.

Every time I have used Hilton's they have exceeded expectations. They have an excellent selection in their showroom and their prices and installation services are above expectations. I especially recommend their Karndean flooring, which they installed in my home. It is a fantastic product that looks just like wood, but is much more durable.. Highly recommend!

My wife and I are very appreciative of the professional work performed by Mr. Hilton and his staff. The results are greater than what we expected. The amount of dust generated from the job was minimum due to the preparation made by Mr. Hilton. Since early 2009, the on going progress in renovating our home has been exceptionally outstanding. Mr. Hilton has given us professional advice on what is in style and what is not, what color wooden floors would go well with our furniture, and what type of floor tile would go with our granite countertops, etc. Todate, we have been very pleased with the results made in each room. I purchased karndean flooring from Hilton's Flooring. The installation was excellent and the employee was right on time. I was not pleased with the owner of the company and due to him being so unprofessional I do not plan to use this company again.

We cleared out the area for the workers to begin. They started by removing the carpet and evening out the flooring. They placed the Karndean within a day after the floor was prepped. Jim, the owner, came back to inspect the work of his crew. He noticed a dip in the floor and he told the workers to remove the Karndean in that area and add more filler to bring it up. He also remained to do the carpentry work. He said he had never done carpentry work like this before but, nevertheless, he did a great job. The room had clean corners and even lines by the time he finished. The Karndean looks better than wood and is easier to maintain. He even added a window sill to a window that had been a door previously. He suggested this in our conversations and it took form by the end of the job. A beautiful job, indeed. The room now is 180 degrees from where it was before Hilton Flooring. Yes, the job was a bit expensive, but the room was large, about 400 square feet and it included the carpentry work and Karndean doesn't run cheap.

(First, understand that we live a few blocks from this place.) After picking out our carpeting and vinyl flooring, we needed them to come out to our house and measure. They told us they would be out on Tuesday to measure, and they didn't show up at all. No call, nothing, and when we called to ask where they were, they weren't everthere. This happened 3 times, and we ended up waiting 2 weeks just for them to measure, so they would know how much flooring to order. Very unprofessional. After they measured, finally, we gave them half of the total cost to order the flooring. 3 days later, it's in their wharehouse and we need to set a date to have them install it. Again, we couldn't ever get them on the phone to do this. We would go to their office, and the manager was never there for us to talk to. At this point we just wanted our money back so we could use another flooring company. But, they had already got the flooring, and wanted to keep half our money. So we were stuck with each other! Long story short, after waiting for a month and a half we got someone else to (they were not affiliated with Hilton's) put in the carpet and vinyl flooring. Bottom line is this: Hilton's Flooring Dept. is a very Unprofessional, Rude, Liars, Cheating, Underhanded Company. I wouldn't recommend them to do anything. We got the feeling that after they got our money, we weren't important anymore, and that we were small potatoes, and they had bigger fish to fry.

There were no problems at all. The owner of the company and one other gentleman did the installation. We had about a month wait to get the planks, but that was so that we could get better pricing from their ordering a skid. We weren't in a rush so it presented no problem. This is the third time we've worked with this company and have always had a good experience with them. They have always been fair, punctual, polite and skilled.
