 + -1 moreThese contractors provided a very innovative product on a fixed price contract delivered according to the specifications. I have built 7 houses in my lifetime and also have hired many general contractors. Fortress performed in an outstanding manner and were the most professional and easy to work with general contractors I have ever experienced. They were constantly on site to ensure everything went according to plan and constantly communicated with me along the way to ensure everything was done to my liking the first time. Their price was very reasonable and the quality of materials they chose was top drawer.
Description of Work: This project was to expand the outer perimeter of the house to add a combination storm room / master bedroom closet approximately 10'X13'.

 + -1 moreThe installation went very smoothly. Installing a storm shelter to an existing home requires more work than if it were being installed during the original construction of the house. And, of course, installing it in the closet added additional space challenges for the team. However, they definitely knew what they were doing and they completed the work according to the schedule. This is one of those products that I hope I never have to use, but I certainly sleep better at night knowing it is there.
Description of Work: After researching the various types of tornado shelters, I decided to go with DuPont Kevlar, an above-ground shelter. Greg & team came to the house and advised me on the best possible locations for the shelter. I was thrilled when they decided they could utilize a portion of the master closet for the storm room. Even better, they could finish it out so it could continue to the used as a normal closet.
