I'm quite happy with the quality of the product; I like the job Tony's crew did. I'm much less happy with the quality of his service, however. Tony works like traditional construction/home improvement contractors: He's very interested in you when he wants to get a new customer and he's very interested in you when it's time to get paid. But you know how contractors are: In that in-between time before the job is complete, they forget who the customer is. When I accepted his price and asked when the job could be done, I had to push to get some kind of real estimate. I don't think he liked that, because his emphasis shifted to telling me (not once, but twice) how much less important my 16-foot job was to him compared to other jobs that are hundreds or thousands of feet of fence. In fairness, Tony did what he (eventually) said he would do in terms of arrival and doing the job. In this case, though, because he was so intent on telling me what a low priority my job was to him, doing what he said he would do doesn't really merit a compliment. I would have let all of that ride and probably not submitted this review had we not had one more bad experience. We had loosely scheduled a time ("late afternoon," once HE was free) for him to come look at the finished job with me. I had forgotten that my wife would be unavailable that afternoon/evening and that I would be solely responsible for my young son - and I forgot to call Tony to tell him I was unavailable to meet that day. When he called to tell me he was finally free and on his way over, I apologized for forgetting to tell him I would have to reschedule. Instead of accepting that apology, he argued with me about whether I was able - amid my responsibilities to my son - to do what he wanted me to do. I cannot overstate how much it's not his place to even have an opinion on how I commit to my son, much less say it out loud because he feels inconvenienced. Being seriously annoyed by his arguing with me about my son, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to remind him that at that moment he was understanding what it's like to be a contractor's customer - the schedule was changed with no notice because the other party was focusing on another, higher priority that came up. That little reminder went over VERY well. After a few moments of grumbling and discussing delivery of the invoice, he hung up on me mid-sentence. The invoice arrived in my e-mail less than five minutes after he hung up on me. Hopefully he pulled over his vehicle to do that. The short answer review: You can have high expectations for Tony's crew (good guys) and the fence you'll get (I like my fence), but I recommend against high expectations for his service. My overall score of C is based on calculating all of the Angie score items and landing on a "grade-point average" of 2.40. Slightly closer to a C than a B. Tony may respond about how I'm a jerk and this isn't worth the $860 when he has bigger jobs to do. So be it. C'est la vie. The job was important to this customer. I stand by my review. An additional important note: Tony's Angie's List profile (even still tonight - May 3) reads that he accepts "Visa, MC, Amex, Disc, PayPal, Check" (that's a copy/paste). However, his invoice indicated to send a check and didn't provide for any electronic payment options. That meant I had to wait until payday to pay him. When he texted me to ask for his not-yet-received check, I texted back to remind him that he wasn't accepting anything but checks and that the check would be written on payday. I happy to report that he didn't choose to argue with me on that one.

DFW Quality Fence is a great company and exemplifies the definition of "quality". They are always get the job done in a timely manner and are not afraid of asking questions if something doesn't look right before they start their work. One of the best things about DFW Quality Fence is their warranty program. They do not have very many warranty issues, but when there is a problem, they come out and address it as quickly as possible. I would 100% recommend this company to anyone that is looking for a new fence, fence repair, or even just information about a certain fence.

We were in a pinch to have the fence built, because we were having a pool built and I needed the fence to be built before the pool was built. I came out the next day to give us an estimate, and then squeezed us in to get the fence built. They were really professional, and worked really hard. They did a great job.
