Description of Work: I just had a pair of uniform pants hemmed. They did a good job, but were more expensive than other tailors. I was already there at the shop so I used them.

Description of Work: I inherited a leather jacket and vest when my grandfather died, and both items are very important to me. Unfortunately, my grandfather weighted about 120 pounds more than me, and both items were way too big! I really wanted to use both on the bike that I also inherited from him, and I took both items to Connie. | |Her shop is in the back of her house, but it is as good a space as I've ever seen. There is room to try on outfits, a waiting area with a TV and comfortable seats, and she has all of the equipment that is needed to alter anything. | |I admit that I was a little leery when I realized the shop was at someone's house, but once I saw the inside, I wasn't worried. Plus, Connie is great! She's personable, listens, and truly wants to make sure she gets your clothes the way you want them. | |I was just hoping that she could figure out a way to alter the huge leather biker jacket and vest with patches. Much to my surprise, she said she could. She quoted me about $150 to $200, depending on the amount of work involved, and asked about my timeline. I wasn't in a hurry, and told her to take as much time as she needed to get it right. | |She periodically called me to keep me updated on her progress and to ensure that I didn't need the items sooner. I came back once to try on the items, and for her to go over the alternations she had to do. Before she made any significant alternations, she got my approval first, which I definitely appreciated. | |Now that the work is done, my jacket and vest look amazing! Both look like they were made for me, and you can't tell that ANY alterations have been done. I could not be happier, and I will be taking all of my items to Connie in the future.

Met with Connie and discussed the design. We also discussed the cost and she said she would have it done in a few days. I left her the fabric I had purchased. She called in a few days and said it was done. The work was done professionally and in accordance with the design. I am very pleased with her work and would use her again. C. Ray Wimberly

Description of Work: Made made a couple of adjustments to my wedding gown, including fixing an eyelet for the corset, which meant undoing quite a few seems. I was very happy with the work that she did and the price she charged. I will definitely be using her again.

I contacted Connie because she had received good Angie's list reviews. She returned my call very quickly and provided good directions to her shop. She took measurements with the jacket on me and marked where the new seams would be in the leather outer and in the liner. She explained how she would do the alteration and quoted the cost for the work, which seemed reasonable given the nature of the work required (the jacket has a full grain hide outer and several layers of inner construction). She called approximately one week later to let me know the jacket was ready to pick up. I tried the jacket on at her shop and it was perfect. The seams were finished very professionally and the size was perfect. Connie told me that she has had many years' experience working with leather and natural coats. The results of her work on my jacket confirmed that she really knows what she is doing.
Description of Work: Altered a heavy leather motorcycle jacket so that it fit better.

I called and she took me in right away. I had about two weeks in which to get the dress back. I went in for a fitting for her to pin the dress. She said she would have it ready in about a week and a half. Only a week later she called and it was ready. It cost a bit more because the material was difficult to work with, but she had told me this up front. It fit perfectly. And even with the material being difficult, it looked great! I couldn't have found anyone to do a better job.
Description of Work: I had a bridesmaid dress to be altered in a fairly short amount of time. It needed to be hemmed and taken in on the sides.

She was great! The work itself looked really good. I was happy with what she did. She was nice and finished the job ahead of time. I liked her a lot and will be giving her all my alterations in the future.
Description of Work: She took in a skirt, some shirts, and hemmed some pants.

Excellent. Really couldn't have asked for more.
Description of Work: Connie replaced a zipper in a messenger bag. Because of the bag's construction i was prepared for seeing the bag with an extra repair because of how the zipper had to be sew in. Amazingly, Connie went above and beyond and the bag is functional and looks original.
