I set up a time and for someone to come out and start on the list of things I wanted completed. He worked eight hours and completed a few thinks on my list, but after that, no one came back to finish the work and the communication broke down. I will admit that I was sick for a week and their scheduler was also sick another week, but after that no one called or e-mailed me to finish up the work.
Then we scheduled two days April for two guys to come finish up the items on my work list, but they never showed up. I e-mailed The Handyman DFW several times and telephoned several times and left messages. Frustrated, I finally send an e-mail stating that if I didn't hear from them I would have to go with another company. No response. So, I wrote a letter detailing their unsatisfactory service and including a check for the price they had giving me for the electrical work and non electrical work that was done at my home.
Then about three weeks ago, out of the blue I get an e-mail from their scheduler asking me if i wanted to have the remainder of the work completed. I was flabbergasted!! I told her that I tried on many, many occasions to contact them during the last three months and could not get anyone to call me back. I told her NO, I would not be using their services ever again and that I had already sent a check for the services I received. She said she would look into it and call me back. She left me a message that said she had looked through their call logs and their were no telephones calls from me, nor were their any e-mails. I printed my outgoing calls from my telephone provider and highlighted their numbers. Their were seventeen calls made to The Handyman DFW and I also sent her a copy of every e-mail send to their company, I think it was six included a copy of the last letter. I have not heard back from them since they were hit with the proof!
"This is a blatantly false report. The work she listed was completed and she was very pleased. She did not want us to return the following day to complete her list as she said she had a doctors appointment and would call us to schedule the following week. When she failed to call to reschedule we called her and she always had a reason for not being available; usually a doctors appointment. This went on for several weeks and we finally decided that when she was ready for the work to be completed she would call. We sent an invoice for the work that was completed. It was ignored. After months of no response to multiple invoices for the work that was completed we called to try and get payment. She did say that she had left several messages, I found it very odd as we do return our calls and we certainly would not fail to return calls from someone who owes us money that we had been invoicing for months. We never received payment and are still waiting for her to produce a copy of the check that she says she sent. I believe that she didn't want to pay her bill and rather than say that she couldn't pay it she has resorted to lies and leaving negative and false feedback."
