Roofing

The work was meticulously performed in 3-4 days. Mark and his crew went out of their way to raise and re-duct the heating and air conditioner units. Mark had his crew foam the exposed heating and air conditioner ducts to add to the efficiency of these systems.
Mark is straight and up front with his recommendations. A few weeks after the installation of the roof, we had a torrential rain storm. We have two large sky lights in the upstairs hall and the master bath room. Water came in through the original seals of the skylights, because the foam raised the roof level. I called Mark the day that it occurred and he immediately sent a member of his crew out to resolve the issue the next day. Mark's employee foamed the entire base of each skylight, plus the frame and upon each lens approximately one inch. This provides a complete seal around each skylight with no chance for leaks. Mark responded and resolved this issue under a warranty at no charge.
Since the installation of the foam, I compared the October 2012 and the October 2013 electric bills to determine the savings benefit of having the roof foamed. The savings was about a 22% reduction of electricity costs. The heating and air conditioning units do not run nearly as long as these once did before the roofing was installed. I expect greater savings during the peak heating and air conditioning periods.
The installation of the foam roof has provided for a quieter more pleasant living experience. Being hail resistant, we may never have to replace the roof again.

Mr. Haiducek was both prompt and personable. I have a finished garage with expoxied floor and kitchen quality cabinets. Three small holes were drilled (high, middle, and low) between each stud to inject foam. There was nothing put down to protect floor or cabinets and as the installer removed the nozzle from each hole it was still spraying foam and because it cannot be removed the cabinets had to be refinished and the floor as well. Within the first five minutes of work they blew a large section of drywall (36" x 16") from the expanding foam. I had inquired about using a non-expanding phenolic based foam, but he reassured me that expanding polyurethane was the foam to use. After they left, I drilled some test holes and estimate that the walls have less than 60% coverage. I tried using acetone and MEK to clean the cabinets to no avail as well as the garage floor. The cabinets had to be completely refinished and I haven't a clue as to what to do about the floor. I have been involved in rental properties for over 30 years with all the contractors that entails and this job by Brite Foam, which does business under several different names (Brite Pools, Brite Construction) was a complete disaster. The owner which showed up and helped with the job is an airline mechanic and does this work on the side. The end result is that it would have been cheaper and less time consuming if I had competely removed the sheet rock on the walls and insulated them and then put up new sheet rock. I don't know if Mr. Haiducek is just incompetent or interested in just getting the money and running, but either way, the result was the same-a complete and total disaster.
