I have used Sutterfield for several years for seasonal yard maintenance—they are pricey. I specifically asked to be called a day in advance to unlock my driveway gate. Nearly every time, I’d get a note saying FRONT gate not unlocked. (It was the driveway gate that was unlocked). Seasonal weed treatment wasn’t terribly effective but I never called to complain. Treated for grubs last fall—my yard is dead now. I called today to ask what was used to make yard go from beautiful to dead. Paul Sutterfield, the owner, was EXTREMELY rude and said it wasn’t his product, it was the grubs that killed yard. Okay. But when I asked why he was being so rude when I simply asked a question, HE HUNG UP. Wow….professionalism….not so much!

Called Mr. Sutterfield on a Saturday. He came to the house, gave me a detailed estimate for both spraying and dethatching the yard. He not only did the spraying but arranged to have another service throughly dethatch and aerate our yard. They both did a tremendous job. In short time our yard is now green and weed-free. We just recently moved to this house from Virginia. In VA, we had a nationally known company servicing our yard there. We tried them here in Texas but were less than pleased with the service and results. Sutterfield sprays only 4 times a year and is substantially less expensive than the national company we used before. A big plus is if you have any other questions regarding your lawn, he will readily help. His service is excellent.
