Rick was a real smooth talker but he lied constantly and never had enough workers. He never showed up consistently and ended up taking our money and never returning to complete the project. It has been 5 weeks and he has not returned phone calls either. He installed some commercial doors and cut them really short, the hinges did not match up, and the frames were all bent up and did not fit correctly. I have had to pay a considerable amount of money to try to repair the mess that he left me, not to mention I am out of pocket all of the money that he took. He also did a roof repair for me and did such a lousy job that the roof ended up blowing off and costing me an additional 60,000 to what he had already charged me. His employees were constantly complaining that he would not pay them so that it was hard to keep good help. I was scammed out of so much money and he only finished half of the project  after 5 months and abandoned the project. He left the storage room that he was using to store material a mess, it took 3 days just to make it look decent.

Rick gave me an estimate then came back with the final cost. He did not waiver from this final number at all. Even though we had talked about a doggie door and some new steps out side my patio door. He said since he had forgotten about those 2 items he would not charge me more because it was his fault he had left them out. The job took a while to get started because of all the rainfall during this time period. The rain caused many delays but the job was completed and done with a lot of care and professionalism. I could not have been happier when it was completed. The guys even helped me hang hooks for plants and helped me hang my new wind chimes. I am already considering having Rick and his crew help me overhaul my kitchen. I would say Rick is a little bit of a perfectionist and really enjoys his work. He came up with some design ideas that were great! I had never been through this big of a job before and on smaller jobs of different types had some bad luck with contractors, so this was a real pleasure for me. I would highly recommend RG Construction!

remodeled bath to have raised toilets, roll in shower, tile floor in bathroom, thinner carpet thru out the house, covered back deck with ramp for access to garage, widen doors to 36 inches, elecrtrical and plumbing work so the hot water heater and washer and dryer could be put in storeroom and out of bathroom to make more room. This was done and completed to VA standards for the disabled.

Our basement had flooded and our upstairs plumbing had leaked.  We had a real mess, and Mr. Gutierrez straightened it all out for us.  We exchanged e-mails so that we could be sure we were on the same page as to the scope of work.  We were pleased with the results.

Rick was very polite and friendly and talked a good game. But he took my $600 to do the drawing for the addition then made the very amateur preliminary drawing. That was months ago and now he refuses to return my calls and I haven't heard from him. I was scammed.

He was slow in getting started but he had a death in his family so that accounted for that. Other than that, he was very meticulous with his work and informative on what he was doing. He did what we asked. I interacted well with him. I have no complaints about his work whatsoever.

They did an excellent job for us. They did very good work. They did everything and he allowed me to buy the materials instead of charging me 5% overhead if he bought the materials but he went with me anytime we needed anything and showed me what we needed. They were very helpful. I guess just like all construction companies, they weren't always punctual. We have used them again for a rent house. If we requested additional things, they were totally responsive in doing whatever we asked them to do.

They did above and beyond my expectations. Rick found a better way to do many things I requested. Also he recommended some finishing touches to really make this project pop.

Rick and his crew were beyond professional! They were courteous, clean, respected our property and time, listened to our requests and went above and beyond our expectations with the job outcome. We didn't feel like he suggested unnecessary things for his monetary gain. Quite the contrary, Rick seemed genuinely cost-conscious. While it took about a month from the time we discovered our grout failure to the time we could actually use our showers again, the wait was totally worth it. They used very fine craftsmanship. Their patience is evident in the skillful work they did. Also, we've hired workers in the past who come in late, try to smoke in the house and play loud music, use inappropriate language around our children, are messy and unkempt. Rick and his crew were the total opposite! We look forward to calling them out again to do some remodeling in our kitchen! We will SO use them again for any household issue we have and will definately refer RG Properties to friends and family!

Being in Vermont, it was hard to coordinate work in Texas. Rick was friendly and returned my phone call promptly. My tenants were pleased with the work that was done although it got spread over a number of weeks due to weather emergencies and problems with the help. Overall, a good price and a good job. I'd hire him again!

RG Construction and Remodeling have so far been good. They are good at what they do, Rick is particularly detail oriented about getting things right and I would just say that as of now, I am not 100% happy with the progress to date, but it is not a large company and they do have another project here and there so you need to accustomed to that but what they do is good. He is very knowledgeable and very pleasant to work with.

The were very prompt and arrived on time. Worked steady and until the job was done. Ran into some existing but unknown electric problems even though it was not in the contract and charged a reasonable fee for the added work. All personnel involved were hard working, courteous and friendly.

I interviewed several contractors asking for estimates. Rand G was the most economical and I was impressed with Rick and his honesty. They removed all material from the bath room,updated plumbing under the house ,tiled the walls and shower,installed new vanity top . They installed underlayment inthe kitchen and dining area, then installed ceramic tile in the kitchen, dining area ,the step down landing from kitchen to den steps, from steps around to rear entry door. I haven't seen a contractor as concerned to be as professional as can be. They truly done a magnificent job and I highly recommend. them to perform any task needed. the front door repair went quickly, and now all of the locks work properly. the sunroom was a little harder and took longer. with what they had to work with, they did great. they also spent way more time on the repair than they esitmated, and didn't charge any more for it.
the sunroom is a prefab thing. over time, it settled, causing the door frame to shift, which made the door hard to open and close. they shimmed the hinges on the door to get it to fit into the frame again. this took more time than was estimated. the door handle they originally installed was a good one but it was designed so that i locked myself out of the house twice (operator error on my part). they went back to the store and found another good handle that doesn't allow that to happen again.
they were professional, patient, and thoughtful. they did have some delays in getting back to the house and when they couldn't be on time, they called and let me know.

Rick and his son are any excellent team and did excellent Job. Would call again is I needed repair or new construction. I meet Rich and his son when they were repair the house behind me. Because of the excellent job they did on it I hire them. That was excellent choice I make. They repaint the outside of my house. The complete scraped All the old paint off, replace any wood or window glass that Was bad. Caulked all window doors and cracked. Put a good Coat of primer and that a good coat of paint. Used 3 color paint Trim brown, wall beige and window and door trim a tan They installed a new front door which work great and look great. The build me a patio cover and a carport of over 1000 spare ft. Ground up. Anchored very well to with stand the panhandle winds. Like the way I can still cook out when it rain under the patio cover. They run about 150 feet of side walk which was an excellent job Replace sheetrock, Textured the washer room and did a few minor jobs. Great over all jobs. On a scale of 1 to 10 I would rate the 9.5. It went wonderful, just as planned. Dust was at a minimum. Professional. Skill level very high, knowledge extremely high.
