New cabinets are really pretty and a nice addition to our kitchen. But, the rest of the job was punctuated with inferior workmanship and time delays which made the process almost intolerable. The quality of workmanship on the countertop and backsplash were the proverbial "straws that broke the camel's back." We hired another contractor because we didn't want to deal with the same poor workmanship that we had seen initially, attempting to repair what they didn't know how to do in the first place.

"Homeowner’s only complaint about our work was rough spot on underside of granite countertop. I scheduled the granite subcontractor to return to job the following day, but homeowner refused to have subcontractor in house because of concerns about dust. Job was completed except tile backsplash which was special-ordered at homeowner’s request. The only time delay was caused by work stoppage while waiting for tile to arrive. After backsplash was installed, only tasks remaining were sealing tile and finishing electrical plates. Homeowner refused to allow workers in the job site and then was unavailable (out of town). Once I was able to get in touch with homeowner, he expressed concerns about the tile work, but refused to let me in his house to see it. Homeowner said he was happy with job except tile backsplash & granite. Granite was identical to that in my showroom & I was never allowed to see tile. In an attempt to resolve matter I discounted invoice by $500.00 but am not willing to do more for the following reasons - I was not given a chance to rectify his complaints. - I was not allowed to inspect the work myself to see if his complaints were legitimate. I suspect homeowner may have had second thoughts or regrets about his color selections & is trying to get me to [illegible] his costs. Craig Patterson-President"
