MR SANDLESS

before the actual work began we had agreed to remove all furniture ourselves ,which was one option, something my wife and I had agreed to do before meeting with Mr.Sandless. He gave us other options as far as what to do with furniture. But we had already decided as planned. He worked with us on time and date for the work to be done. He did the work and we were pleased with results , because he did as he said he was going to do,in the time he was going to do it,and the results we were to expect from the job.

The new floor isn't nearly as glossy and the color doesn't match the other floors. He said the shine won't ever match because of the wax used on the older floors. The hallway floor was only replaced with one color of oak wood, but later he said the other floors were made with multiple kinds of wood.  Originally we were told by him that he could match the hall to the other rooms so that no one would notice a difference.  There are 2 spots in my room from pet stains that will always be dark. He said he would have to cut out that wood and replace it, which he said he couldn't do at the time because of a rotator cuff injury he had. I had a friend who successfully bleached the wood on their floors, but he said he couldn't do that because it would destroy the wood and it may not take the stain afterward. They guaranteed my satisfaction, and I had to make calls to the corporation because of these problems.  They told us he would special order the multiple wood types that we needed for the hall and he would come back, but he just had excuses about his shoulder and said he would charge $30 an hour to do this extra work later.  He insisted that the woods would not match because of the age of the other floors and the different grains from the new wood.  I will say that he reduced the contract price on the original work, which I am satisfied with.  There is also a hole against the frame of the front door about a quarter of an inch wide. The last day Rodney was here, he was filling in holes where he replaced the wood. He filled this hole with puddy or caulk or something. When his brother came to replace the front door, the puddy came out. He should have replaced the board, because the hole is just too big for puddy.

The entire experience was professional and friendly. Betty and Rodney answered any questions we had, and were thorough in explaining what they do, and how their process works. They were also helpful in explaining the after care and were readily prepared to answer any questions we had. If they hadn't known an answer though, they were truthful and had a resource to rely on to get the answers needed. I would use them again an a heartbeat, and recommend them to others.
