I do not write many reviews but excellent service and a company does what they say they will do is rare this day and time. I have used Cleaning Services for over 20-years in other Cities, some by Individually owned home based businesses and also Franchisee Companies like Merry Maids. I am new to Amarillo and had no references from people to go by so I used Angie's List and another well know company for finding companies to perform specific services. The latter was a complete mess, filled out a form and on a Saturday night at 8:30pm I get a call from a company. Very bad way to get someones business. Then I used Angie's List. Merry Maids had several very good reviews and one negative review only. After reading this one bad review and using common sense it was apparent that no one could have pleased this customer.
I called and talked with the owner and after a brief conversation it was best that she needed to come and see how my place was concerning how clean I keep it because how was she to know if her employees might be walking into a nasty place. Also I was used to a flat-rate for cleaning every two-weeks and she advised an hourly rate. Of course at first I did not like that method because some companies who use that method can just take there time and drag things out. Well, to make a long story short the owner came over, and after meeting with her, discussing how long she has been in business, turnover and going with the hourly rate there was no doubt that I would do business with Merry Maids. The cleaning crew are two ladies who bring everything to clean my apartment. They do a detail cleaning the first time then do a deep cleaning on one room only each time thereafter. They are very professional, polite and work very hard and do not just take there time. So if you are needing someone to clean your home or apartment then Merry Maids will make this part of your life stress free. In closing you can trust the cleaning ladies, period.

"Cleaning out of town gets quite expensive. However, this customer was quoted the extra travel expenses. We compensated the customer for the shower head by deducting the cost from her total. Accidents happen and the girls did not break the shower head intentionally. She also turned in a comment card with all 5's circled for excellent service."

"Merry Maids cleaned for [member name removed] again on 11/27/2013. The total cost was $180 for 2 hours and fifteen minutes. The customer hired us for two hours which can limit the girls from completely finishing everything in the house to our standards.The girls more than likely had to rush with only a two hour limit. The customer never complained or we would have gladly made sure they were satisfied. I was not aware of my worker using her phone. I agree this is not professional."

Overall, they are great. I need to point out omissions, but they are usually responsive. They have been able to come on short notice, and I appreciate that!
