Living in Amarillo there's nothing to break the wind and I've always seen trees stake when they're planted and this is a good size tree and it's probably 20 feet tall. I called their office and spoke to the owner or manager and they said they don't normally stake trees and we have winds that were 70 or 80 miles an hour sometimes. And I had this tree planted south and I called them back again and they finally came out but they didn't stake it very well and I had to call them back out to restake it because it was lifted again. They came back out and put some root stimulator on it but basically it was a long drawn out process. In the end once they did it properly then all was good but it was like pulling teeth to get them to do it properly. It wasn't a cheap tree and it was a $600 tree. I was irritated with that. I never did see when they came out here to correct it and it's like they brew through and didn't want me to know they were coming but the original time when they came out to plant it they were timely.
