They were sent out by my home warranty company for a sewer gas smell coming from under my kitchen cabinets.  While on site or a few visits attempting to find out where the problem was, they never found the true source of my problem which was a broken pipe vent under the kitchen sink, but instead said that I had a gas line leak in the alley, in the yard, and that the source of my sewer gas smell was from a broken pipe in my foundation and that would cost me thousands and of course wouldn't be covered by my warranty.  After paying them to repair the gas line "leak" in the alley, I became suspicious that they weren't being honest with me.  I called the warranty company and another plumber came out who promptly found the source of the sewer gas smell, the broken pipe under my kitchen sink.

Crew of 2 men came. Were quick to arrive and fast to leave. Even after snaking at 3 places. They were rushed and hurried to finish the job as quickly as possibly with no attention to detail at all. They didn't complete the job: I had to remind them to snake the bathtub too when they were preparing to leave as it was a big part of our complaint. They had been made aware of this initially but had not completed any service for it.
They ran through the house with walky-talkies and yelling through walls. They wreaked of cigarette smoke so badly held my breath when near them and I ventilated the house as soon as they left.
They left a HUGE mess everywhere that they went. I had to pull out cleaner and towels to clean behind the washer and on all the walls and the bathtub. Most companies clean up after themselves.
Also...The problem returned in just over 30 days so I couldn't call them to return for no additional rate.

I am a retired Marine who has served in Desert Storm, Somalia, Afghanistan and Iraq. Consequently I am 60%, service connected, disabled. In what capacity I can I am currently employed by the U.S. State Department and, as such, I travel frequently but call Amarillo, Texas home. During the incident in question I was out of the country. My wife is essentially a single parent of two of our children and is also pursuing her Undergraduate degree. On the morning of October 24th (Sunday) my wife Bobbi woke up to discover that my master bedroom carpet was wet because a pipe under the foundation of the master bedroom and sprung a leak. With the help of a friend she was able to shut the water off and she called to have a water damage specialist clean up the mess. Via our home warranty company she was referred to ?A Plumbing and Sewer Service LLC? (Travis Edwards Lic. J-44257) and called them that same morning. Representatives for the ?A Plumbing and Sewer Service LLC? did not come to my house until October 25th (Monday) and removed the concrete, fixed the leak and replaced the concrete when they were done; the repair was straight forward. The fee that my wife was charged for the repair was $3,250. One of the repairmen gave my wife a business card with his name ?Jeremy Stone? hand written on the back of it with no plumber?s license number. The plumber?s name with license number that was printed on the front of the card was Travis Edwards Lic. J-44257. Unfortunately my wife and I found out after the fact but my home insurance company representative, the insurance assessor, and the supervisor for the water damage specialist commented that the fee was double what a project of that size would normally cost. The $3,250 has been paid. I do not think I have legal grounds to take legal action because that is the fee that was quoted to my wife and being, essentially, a single mom with two children that she needs to cook for and bath the primary concern was to get the problem fixed. This letter is to complain about the fact that I feel that my wife was taken advantage of due to her situation I would like consumers to be aware. I have made attempts to speak to a representative from the company to complain to them but no one has returned my calls. Thank you for your time

I don't have much experience with plumbers because most of the problems I have been able to fix myself. If I had known what the problem was I probably could have fixed this one as well, but when dealing with an unknown I like having a professional at least look at it. The company did what they said and charged what they said. I don't know what the going rate for plumbing services are in my area; I had assumed the job would cost about $1000 so I have no complaints.
