WHATLEY'S ASPHALT PAVING

It was so much better than I expected.  I called for a quote and had it within a week.  The start of the project was slightly delayed due to other work I had going on at the house, but when we were ready, John Whatley was there.  He and his crew were friendly and professional.  We had some unique challenges due to the age of my property but he solved them with simple cost effective solutions.  The final results were everything we hoped for and more.  The driveway looks like it has always been there.  I live in an 'historic' area and didn't want the new work to stand out as inappropriate for the area, and it doesn't.  I whole heartedly recommend this company and would be happy to show off the work he did at out house.

He did what he said he would when he said he would do it, he was a little faster than he quoted. Very pleased.

Mr. Whatley returned my phone call the same day I made my initial call. He was very polite over the phone as I tried to explain all that needed to be done on my property. I already had a circular asphalt driveway that was old, uneven, cracking, and in need of repair, including a 3-car carport. There are 2 exits to my property, including an electric gate. I called to ask for an estimate or a driveway to accommodate a second home on the property, and to create a sidewalk from the driveway to the side door.
Johnny Whatley came out the next day to give us an estimate on what we thought we needed. Johnny was so easy to talk to and so friendly that I trusted him. I told him that we had found his company on Angie's List and decided to give them a try. Johnny was able to explain what he felt was best for our situation and how he would go about doing it. He explained everything and answered all our questions.
Within 2 days they had started the project and in 2 more days they were finished. The work was stellar - the workers were all polite, clean and friendly. They didn't leave a mess in the yard, which I appreciated. Just because Johnny was a great guy, he said that if we would buy some dirt to level the yard, he would have his guys roll over it and flatten the yard out, as well as properly place some paving stones that we love to trip on. Johnny cared about our situation and what we needed, then helped us get it.
What a huge relief to know that this project is done and without a care or worry because Mr. Whatley was in charge.

The day started early around 7:00 A.M.. I had ordered two dump trucks full of crushed concrete to be put on my driveway. The first truck dumped its load, and it got stuck. The second truck arrived pulled the first truck out, then dumping its load. The first truck in getting stuck left large holes. Sullivan was on time with his tractor, and he had all of the crushed concrete spread in about a hour which was around 10:00 A.M.. We needed a third truck full of crushed conrete, because the first truck in getting stuck left large holes which took alot of our crushed concrete to fill the holes. It wasn't until about 1:00 P.M. when the thired truck arrived, and it got stuck!!! It wasn't until 3:00 P.M. when a wecker came wenching it out. The third truck finally dumped its load and left. Sullivan stayed the whole time telling me that he is not leaving until this job is done; He called and cancelled another job he had to do that afternoon. It wasn't until about 5:00 P.M. when he finished spreading the rest of the crushed concrete onto my driveway. It was a very long day when it should have been over by 10:00 A.M. that morning. Much thanks to Sullivan for staying with it. I was very impressed with him that I gave him a little extra for staying and finishing the job.

THE SECRETARY WAS VERY POLITE WHEN I CALLED TO SCHEDULE AN ESTIMATE. JOHNNY WHATLEY WAS ON TIME AND VERY POLITE. JOHNNY DID THE JOB WHILE I WAS AT WORK, BLOCKED THE DRIVEWAY TO KEEP VEHICLES OFF WHILE IT SET UP THEN CAME BACK AFTER THE WORK TO CHECK THE JOB.
