Technician quickly diagnosed the problem, fixed it, and even aired up my tires. Very personable guy. Easy to work with. First person I'll call if ever there is another issue with the mower.

Great service and he got both mowers running as good as new (maybe even better than new!) and I never had to leave home! I would highly recommend SD&S for all your mower repair needs!

I appreciated the effort to make sure there was a reason to bring in my mower rather than just asking to bring it in and charge me to look at it. I thought that the problem was probably the overfill of the oil but I decided to bring it in anyway. The service was quick, friendly and professional. He took the time to listen to what I had to say about the problem and checked things out. The service was quick and excellent. My mower is running better than it was when we first got it.

I used to take my John Deere L110 riding mower to Tunney's (in Pearland) for service. Tunney's owner has retired and they are no longer in business. I found this company on Angie's List and called about a week before he came out. He returned my calls and was very good about calling me and letting me know when he would be at my home. He pulled into the driveway and opened up his van. It contained EVERYTHING necessary to fix my lawn mower. He quickly figured out what the problem was (voltage regulator), replaced it and the battery, sharpened the blades, lubricated the front axle and completely blew all the grass off the machine with his air compressor. Checked the oil and told me not to change it until the following spring. Very impressive! I will definitely be using his services again. And, my mower is working better than it has in years!

David was able to quickly diagnose the problem, do the work, and return our blower in just a few days. And he did a routine service/tuning while he had it :) His price was very reasonable, as it had been previously. We are very thankful to have found SDand S :)

I had been unable to start my pressure washer, which had sat idle for over a year. I called David and he set up an appointment for me on a Saturday morning. When I arrived, David was ready to look at my washer and explained exactly what he would do depending on how bad it was. He took the time to disassemble the washer and meticulously cleaned all the engine parts that were gummed up. After he was finished it started up on the first pull and is working great. David was very pleasant and completed the job while I waited. He had all the equipment and parts that were needed on hand. I am extremely pleased with his service and would not hesitate to contract him again should the need arise.

Perhaps one of the most pleasant experiences I've ever had at a repair shop. I was unable to start my pressure washer and suspected a dirty carburetor. Made an appointment with David at his new repair shop near Alvin for 9am Saturday. I arrived promptly and he was ready and waiting for me. While I waited and watched, David checked the engine fundamentals and quickly verified the carburetor was fouled. He removed the carburetor, cleaned it thoroughly, reattached and tested the engine.... it was better but not perfect, and he patiently repeated the cleaning, reattaching and testing 2 more times until the engine ran smoothly and he was completely satisfied. He then suggested we fire it up under a water load to ensure the pump and sprayer were working properly....they were. And finally, he changed the engine oil because it was needed (before I even had to ask). He also provided several suggestions to keep the unit in top working order. Total repair time, 60-90 minutes. This guy is good. VERY good. Combined with his pleasant personality, strong customer focus, patience to fix the problem whatever it took, and fair pricing -- you simply cannot go wrong working with David and I highly recommend him for small engine repairs. We need more like him in the service world.

Did excellent job. Took 30 year old tiller to the shop. Did repairs while i waited. Done in about 45 minutes. Starts like new.

Did a great job of repairing all items to good working condition. He charged $35 or $45 labor per equipment plus parts and supplies. He gave me a detail (hand written on a piece of paper) description of all parts used and services performed when the job was done. He also explained to me all the things he found and showed me the old parts that were replaced. He even gave me some tips on how to operate few of these without stepping over the line. It was obvious from the parts that were used and services that were performed that he knew what he was doing: no charges for parts that I would question why they would be needed but also did replace parts that would go bad within short period of time if not replaced (primer bulbs, rubber fuel line, etc). If you like good old neighborhood mechanic who I think can fix any small engine problems cheaply, Dave is the man. If you like a fancy shop, a nice receptionist answering the calls, with a professional looking receipt, there are several closer to home. I understand Dave services larger equipment (ie, riding mowers) on customer's location but I did not mind driving 20 miles to his shop for drop off and pick up. I understand that he still has a shop in League City but my work was done at his new shop near Alvin.

I had run over a bunch of cable with my riding mower. The cable had come apart, and the strands were so tightly wound around the blade assembly that they had forced their way under a part, and I was unable to remove them. David gave told me he could come out the next day to repair my mower, and he gave me an estimate. He provided excellent communication, telling me where he was, and his estimated time of arrival. He inspected my mower, then hoisted it up, removed the nest of cable, gave me some maintenance tips, and had my mower ready within an hour. The cost was within the estimate. I will be calling him for my future repair needs, and I have already given his card to a friend of mine.

He's very good. My experience with him was very good. He was very conscientious. He did not get the repair right the first time. I had to return it which was not great but he persisted till be did get it right with no additional charges. I guess I would have to knock him down a little bit because of the fact that it did take a second try. He was very thorough and very good.
