Tony Matt

Tony is the top clock repair man in Texas. He is knowledgeable, skilled, careful, reliable, trustworthy. My family has always turned to him for about 40 years for any clock related need.

He came to my house and work on two clocks, he work on one clock but it wasnt working correctly, he took the one ar home and said he will take it back. paid 205$ and encashed the check but he didnt showed up

Mr. Matt arrived at the time we agreed on and patiently disassembled the gears and pulleys, untangled the lines, lubricated the gears, leveled the clock on the wall, and reset the pendulum action. He answered all my questions and explained what I could do to keep the problem from happening again. He showed great competency and experience in how he performed the repairs and put everything back together.

He knew exactly what he was doing.  He proceeded to do the work in a timely fashion. he kept the work area very clean and organized. After he finished with the grandfather clock, he took a look at our cuckoo clock, diagnosed the problem, which he explained to us , and took it with him to repair.  We are delighted to have obtained this excellent repair person and have already recommended him to a friend.

Contacted Mr. Matt and explained the problem with clock.

After hearing my explanation he said it just probably needed to be serviced.

Set a date and time of 12 o'clock on the 15th.

Mr. Matt arrived on time and showed me some dirt on the weight and said that

it came from not being serviced. He proceed to take the clock apart all the while explaining what he was doing and how the clock worked. I learned very interesting information about the clock and how it worked. After finishing the service he put the clock back to gather and it worked like a charm. He also told me if I had any problems with the clock in the next few months to give him a call and he would come and fix it.

He said if it needed parts he would credit the$145 towards the repair.

Mr. Matt is very knowledgeable about clocks and watch's. He is very personable and I wouldn't hesitate to use his services again.

I contacted Tony after finding him on Angie's List. He gave me a tenative date to come to my home and called back to confirm that the date worked.
The clock was inherited from my parents and has not run for the past several years. I recently transported it to TX from IL in the back of my SUV. Tony attached all the parts; cleaned, oiled, and adjusted the clock.
Additionally, we received some very helpful information about the care and time adjustments going forward. As it should be oiled/cleaned every two-three years, we will definitly be calling him again in the future.

It turned out fine. It took about two weeks to get my clock back and it is working great.

Called another company and technician looked at the clock and gave anestimate of 550.00.
Called Tony and from the phone conversation it became evidentthat he knew all about grandfather clocks.
When Tony came over he expertly removed the face and hands toget to the movement, and discovered the problemTook the movement to the shop and returned in a couple of daysand reinstalled the movement.
Tony says he has thirty years in the business and I believe him..

He is a dying breed. He is somebody who really knows the antique clock, and he is wiling to do everything he can for that. If he can't make the parts, he goes and makes big searches to try to find it. I would absolutely use him again in the future.
