I wanted to write this review to give insight to what I experienced.  I meet with James to go over a lighting proposal.  He was nice to deal with but seemed like the requests I had for the lighting was too much trouble for him.  I understand everyone
is different, but that was not my main concern. Once we decided on the number of lights I got the typical sales pitch.  He then opened a flip book of pics.  I was surprised he did not have pictures of his work on some sort of mobile device. Never the less the biggest shocker for me was when he pulled a piece of paper out and wrote down a price for the job. I was expecting to have some idea of what I was getting.  I was expecting a line item list of some sort showing which lights I am getting, materials, labor, transformer size, and so on.  He does not use anything special when it comes to lights.  He uses clarolux and kichler brands which most companies use or you can buy online yourself.  It is like buying car or landscaping, you would expect a line item of each component you are getting and price for each. This is a shady practice and I can tell not all companies do this.  Any reputable company that wants your business will break it out for you vs. one lump sum number.   I ended up finding a few great companies that would follow suit and provide this info.  When it comes to an investment of this size make sure you know what
you are getting and what you are paying for before you go with a company like this.

I would recommend to the average buyer make sure you know what you are getting and the quote is broken out.  Make sure the well lights, up lights, down lights, wash lights, so on are priced out per light so you know the labor/material cost. The transformer should be priced out and know how much it supports from a load aspect for current and future load. Most of these companies will do a "one line price" which gives you no insight to what you are getting now or future.   Lastly get the warranty on the fixtures and bulbs when comparing companies.  Quality products will have a 10+ year warranty with bulbs included which in turn you do not need a maintenance contract which will get expensive over time.  The other option is ask what type of bulbs are used and price them out on the internet to see if you can buy them your self, as well as knowing the price of the bulbs.  This will help you choose a company that will give you insight to what you are getting.

They are good and I really like those guys.  They show up on time and they get the job done.  They have a fair price.  The owner of the company is very honest and very professional.  I like working with him.  10.57 to 11.00.

They came by and did a demo.  They set up the lights in the various locations and left it for a couple of nights so we could see how the lights would look.  They then consulted with me to help me select the lighting fixtures and styles.  They then provided a proposal that was complete and detailed.   We scheduled an installation date and they came by and installed the lights.  I was very happy with the professionalism and quality of the team.  The owner James is wonderful.  He answered all of my questions and gave me the pro's and con's of different options.  I really was impressed with the level of service that I received.  I would highly recommend Silver Moon to anyone who expects high quality and great service.   I am a happy customer.

On a scale of 1 to 10 I would give them a 0. It should have taken a week and a half and it ended up taking a month and a half to completion. He put in an electrical outlet outside that was clearly stamped do not put outside. The control mechanism outside was not to be put in a damp area. They tore up our landscaping to put in some of the electrical outside. I told them not to put it in the middle of my flowers and I told them to move it. He also provided warranties for one year. I called him twice because of lights going out. He has not come out to take care of this and will not return my phone calls. We both belonged to a barter company. He actually told me that because I belong to the barter company, I do not get the same kind of service as someone who pays cash. I paid half cash and half trade.
