Mascot was once great. It is not any longer. Ms. Thomas is awful. Mascot included un-disclosed service charges and markups in my final bill. Mascot also initially refused to provide an itemized invoice. The CEO bragged about including undisclosed service charges and material mark-up charges. When I asked for an itemized invoice and challenged what were clearly undisclosed charges, she threatened to put a lien on my home! Do not use Mascot. Businesses should audit their invoices.

Christopher was professional and went out of his way to explain to describe the products and the installation process. His crew showed up on time and ready to go. They were professional and courteous. They did excellent work and made sure that we were happy with the finished product before they left. Christopher followed up with a personal visit to inspect the work and make sure we had no questions or issues. I highly recommend Mascot Mechanical for any HVAC work or needs.

When our 20 year old AC system developed a massive leak in the evaporator coil (3-4 lbs of freon every other week) we knew we had to fix it or replace it. Luckily it was the end of the summer and the hottest days were behind us, so we had the luxury of time to collect estimates.

We went about soliciting estimates from 4 different companies. We received esitmates to replace the coil, or to replace the coil and the condenser, or to replace the whole system including the furnace. We settled on replacing the whole system given its age and the higher efficiencies of the newer models and the small added cost.

Right from the start we felt most comfortable with ProStar Air. Their comfort specialist, Chris Gage, was very firendly and knowlegable. Chris is the real deal. He never tried to oversell us or make promises he couldn't keep. He went out of his way to make sure we got the best system that fit our house and needs for the best price. He and the engineering manager at ProStar worked with us to design the system that would give us the best SEER rating and still be within our budget. He provided the AHRI certificates to back every claim he made. Others did not do that.

The install team did a great job. They were professional, courteous and knowledgable. They handled the whole project very well, from removing the old system to installing the new one and everything in between. They added a new return duct (the builder installed one was too small), resized the supply duct to a room that was very warm during the summer and added dampers to every supply duct to balance the air flow. A new upgraded Tstat replaced the old one too. At inspection time, the inspector commented on the clean install and commended the company on a job well done (then he proceeded to tell me about the horror installs that he sees everyday from other companies). This confirmed that we made the right choice going with Chris and ProStar.

Did I mention that their price was by far the best price too!

I highly recommend this company; they seem to have assembled a team of professionals that truly care about their work and reputation and do everything they can to make their customers happy. These qualities are not easy to come by in the HVAC industry.

One of our air conditioning units gave out. We contacted several different companies before deciding on ProStar Air. I'd already gotten three quotes, but just before I was going to pull the trigger on another company, I noticed ProStar's postcard in the mail. It promised to match or beat anybody’s price. I gave them a call. I'm glad I did.
Chris Gage was out that evening. I can’t say enough good things about Chris. He gave us a competitive quote and was able to
schedule the install within a day or two. He is very personable, he was quick and responsive to my questions and I had a lot of them. He kept us informed throughout the whole process.
During our conversation he said something that has really stuck with me, “When a customer receives poor service he tells everyone
he knows, when a customer receives good service they tell everyone who asks.” He’s right and based on my experience I want to recommend Chris and ProStar Air to everyone that asks (and even to everyone I know.)

I never thought I'd write a glowing review about a company that stepped through our ceiling but outside of that incident they were incredible. The General manager was at our house within 20 minutes of the accident and handled it very well. They did an excellent job with the installation of the equipment. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them or use them again.

As usual, Prostar did a fantastic job. The techinician was very professional and helpful and had a great attitude. They really treat you like your a member of the family not just another customer. To me this is how ProStar has always set themselves apart form thier competition. The technician quickly diagnosed the problem and took care of it and within about 20 minutes he was done and my house was cooling off again. He explained everything to me clearly and answered all my questions. Ive used Prostar at my other home as well and other members of my family use them for one simple reason. They are the best!

Even though the warranty on labor has passed ProStarAir took on themselves that they would fix my system free of charge. There was a valve that had gone bad and had to be special ordered from out of state. It took them three visits (once to diagnose, one to find out a wrong part had been shipped to my house, and one to install the right part) but their technician was very knowledgable and courteous, which isn't easy when working in an attic with 100+ degrees heat.

I believe there aren't that many companies out there today who would do that. I would highly recommend this company, they are a professional service company, not just box pushers, and really care about their customers.

They were punctual, had cleaned up after the work, and had also explained everything that they did. The price charged was very reasonable.

This company was referred to me by a colleague who used them for an install I decided to use them as well. If I did not have a personal reference I probably would not have used them because their bid was over 20% lower than the lowest one that I got and I felt that they might cut corners. They did not. The other two bids were from the more well known companies so I think that they just have a lot more overhead than Prostar. They showed up when they were supposed to show up and did the work they were supposed to do. Since it was the slow season they actually sent so many guys that they had finished by lunch time. There was some black pieces of crud came out of half of the vents and I had go around and vacuum them up, but other than that they cleaned up the areas they worked in fine.

They were very good. They made sure I understood what they were doing, they showed up on-time and their pricing was very good as well. I would highly recommend them.

ProStar did a fantastic job. The staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. They were prompt and went about their work very efficiently and had it completed in about 5 hours. They took great care in laying down protective coverings from door to work site and removing all debris at the end of the job. After they left you couldn't even tell anyone had been working in the home.
