It cost me more than I had ever thought it would, mostly because of the mold. I thought I was only going to pay $130, but it was $1600. It was a mixed bag. I thought it was going to be a basic cleaning.

I was very comfortable with the technician who came. He was very professional and gave us options, and did not pressure us to sign up. At this point in the process, we are looking to get a couple more bids, but unless they beat Koldaire's prices significantly, we will go with Koldaire since we feel very comfortable with them at this time. We also recommend that they train their technicians on which systems qualify for the tax write-offs through the Energy-Star program...

Called and had it scheduled for the next morning. They showed up late but they did call and let me know they were going to be late. Two-man teamed showed up and did a fantastic job. I have heard you have to be careful with vent cleaning. (You can get ripped off). I watched everything they did and they really did a thorough job. My mother-in-law was there and she commented about having her vents done by another company and this company was doing a much better job. The previous owners smoked and they removed awful dirt and debris from the ventilation. They were careful with my floors and cleaned up afterward. They never took a break and worked half a day. They also fixed the refrigerator that the previous owners left in the house and installed a water filter on it. I was very pleased.

The technician was on time and service was good. However, the prices charged for replacing 5 pounds of freon plus the labor were much higher than competitors and than I expected.
