DFW Door Express & Service

Poorly run company. They had someone come out and replace the spring on our garage door. A few months later I called back because the door was falling the last bit when closing it. They came back out, claimed the previous guy had stolen the money from them, replaced the spring again AND CHARGED me a second time. Have been fighting them for 3 months now to get a refund and they refuse to call back. Always an excuse as to why he hasn't refunded us. Now they refuse to respond. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! Would give 0 stars if that was an option.

We had a terrible experience with Bill, the owner of DFW Door Express, and wanted to share it as a warning to others. On 5/13/24, Bill and his assistant did some maintenance on our garage door, but left it in such poor condition that we now need to hire someone else to fix their mistakes. After the maintenance, the garage door is crooked, with about 2 inches off the ground on one side, which is causing extra strain on the door components and has allowed bugs to get into the garage because of the gap. Also, the spray lubricant they used left the door horribly discolored on the outside. The large stains look so awful that we need to get the door repainted. I have called / left voice messages / text messages on both numbers I have for Bill over the past month, but my attempts at contacting him have been unsuccessful. Once, he did commit to coming by and fixing the issues, but he did not show up as he promised and then stopped responding altogether. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.

If you would have asked me 2 weeks ago about DFW Door Express, this review would have been totally different. In the last week I have learned Bill, and his wife, Linda's, true colors. I have no words on how people can be so despicable and dishonest. I'm so mad that I actually decided to write a review in hopes to deter people from using this company . . . a company that doesn't seem to worry about their reputation. About 3-4 years ago, in our old house, we needed some work on our garage door. We called Bill because his sticker was on the garage door wall left from the previous owner . . . so we figured we would try him out. We didn't read reviews and never have up until very recently (it all makes sense now). Bill came out in a very timely manner, was very nice and helpful etc. We used him, he fixed it and he was on his way. We thought the experience was good and intended to use him again if ever the occasion came up. This past October we were having trouble with the garage door in our new house, so we decided to call Bill since our previous positive experience. Again - timely manner, helpful, professional etc. Then about a month ago we started having an issue with what turned out to be the circuit board (per Bill as we called on him once again). His recommendation was that since our unit was already about 15 years old, it didn't make sense to put a new circuit board in an old unit and to buy a new one and be done with it. That's what we decided to do. We purchased a new garage door opener and Bill came out to fix it. Again, done and moving on! The next day we realized that Bill didn't replace the sensors (which came with the new unit we bought) and left the old one's. He also took the box with him. My wife called him to let him know we would like it back (since WE paid for it and might need them at some point). He said he would bring it by the next day and we have never received it. She has called and left messages and texts and they have completely ignored them all, no responses! My guess is he will try to sell them to someone else or try to get money for them . . . evidently this is something he does. We decided to do dome searching and read reviews of the company, most of which are good, BUT . . . the other people who have bad experiences are right on the money. Needless to say, we will never use them again.

It went great!  Bill walked me through the different options for what I needed.  He told me how much I should expect everything to cost so I could make the best decision.  He gave me an amazing price and told me to call him if I had any questions about the equipment and/or the work (as well as the new app he told me about where I can control and monitor my own garage door when I'm away!!!)

Awesome Service from a husband and wife team. Came right on time, and diagnosed the door in a matter of minutes. He needed a few parts to fix the door, and came back a few hours later to complete the job all in the same day. He texted me an update when he would return. Our door went from looking like it had been run into on one side, to being ( and sounding) normal again. Thank you!
