I've known and been in business with this person for decades but his work has suffered and his attitude has completely changed. I can no longer recommend.

Most of the work was excellent. The owner and his son worked with the rest of the crew, on the job, so I knew I was getting the best expertise and attention they had to offer. The solutions they bid for the drainage problems were sound, and they did a good job installing them. The one problem was the garden soil they brought in. I did not think to specify to the contractor what makes garden soil good: a mix of clay, silt, and sand, and a significant amount of organic matter, among other things. I figured the contractor would know, and would provide me with what he bid: garden soil. Unfortunately, he instead brought in soil sold to him as "ready to plant garden soil," but which was almost 90 percent sand (I sent samples to Texas A&M University for analysis prior to fertilizing). The contractor refused to remove the poor soil and replace it with good soil. He did agree to send me a check for $275 to cover what he said would've been his cost to add Back to Nature Cotton Burr Compost. This wouldn't fix the high sand content, but it was all he would do for me. I chose a different firm to add the compost (at a higher cost) because Country Oak could not come as quickly and it was already past the beginning of planting season. The contractor made what he felt was a good faith effort to provide me with what he bid. However, in the end, I didn't get what he bid. That's not A work in my view.

Mr Grayson, the owner came and gave the initial evaluation of our lawn watering problem of some areas of the yard too wet and others too dry. He gave us specific choices of ways of remedying the problems, with accurate cost estimates. Prices were very reasonable. We had to wait several weeks before the work could be done, but we were told upfront when given the estimate that this would be the case. He had a long waiting list due to his popularity in the neighborhood. When his crew did the work, they worked hard and cleaned up after themselves. They kept us informed of process as often as wanted. Their work putting in additional sprinkler heads into our sprinkler system and digging 2 drain pits underground to run off excessive water completely solved the problem he was hired to fix. The owner Mr Grayson himself worked and supervised the crew the entire time they were at our home, which is a major reason he is so successful.
