Carnival was a very easy company to work with. I was eager to get the painting completed asap as we are going to put the house on the market. Steve Long was able to schedule us with little notice and the work done was excellent. As well as painting there were several drywall patches and texture fixes that were made. After the painting was completed the floor laying crew scuffed many of the baseboards. Steve sent a painter to fix them up and do other touch-ups at no charge.

I would highly recommend you consider another company for your painting needs.  The challenges are listed below:  

• - Major communication challenges.   
  - Overall the work is sloppy on every piece, paint drips, lines are crooked, areas where the paint was one layer and two were needed.  
  - Nice guy but it is very difficult to communicate with the owner, Steve, as it appears he doesn't clearly listen and certainly doesn't communicate back to his workers in a productive fashion.  
• - Steve will continually half-listen and then tell you about projects he's done in Willow Bend, Kings Lake, name your high-end neighborhood.  
  - He selected the wrong paint color - missed the color match completely.  

- He is willing to fix challenges (that could be fixed), but took a month.  And the main project manager seems to be frustrated the continuous fixes, sloppy work from the team and communication issues via Steve.  

It went very well.  They were there promptly on schedule and then spent a long time moving some furniture and putting up plastic drop clothes over all the walls, floors and furniture to make sure nothing got texture on it.  Then they did the texturing and then cleaned up everything.  I was very happy and plan on having some additional work done by them shortly.

Jorge and another gentleman came and painted the trim around our garage. Although it was a small job, Steve understood it needed to be done (per our HOA). We told him we would hire him to do our bigger jobs in the future. He was very professional and we appreciated his work especially after talking with several others on Angie's List who thought the job too small!  They solved the problem and did a fine professional job! We appreciated that and the fact he understood the issue at hand!

Steve and his crew did a great job. Very professional with super results. I need this service ASAP as I was having my roof replaced and he accommodated accordingly. I messed up on the color of the garage and Steve quickly repainted it a very fair rate. I recommend this company to anyone looking for great hassle free experience. Very easy to work with. It went great, the whole team was wonderful to work with and I highly recommend.

I worked with Brad Hale on each project.  Brad was very helpful and provided very good advice.  They got the job done very quickly and it looked really good.  I compared his prices with a number of different companies and he was very closely match, but his professionalism, efficiency, detail in work, and knowledge of his crew was worth the little extra cost associated with project.

We had gotten quotes from a handful of other painters, and he was definitely the lowest bid. When they started the job, they said it would take 3 days, and when we came in to see the progress on the third day, we were very disappointed. So much so, that my husband called to fire them, but Steve came over and told us he would fix everything. 
They pulled the wallpaper off in some of the areas, but in other areas they just textured right over it. They said they applied something to the wallpaper to keep it from bubbling up when you paint over it and keep it sticking down. (However, we found that many of these areas still bubbled when we painted them, we showed them, but by that point they didn't really care).
Their texturing was just okay- there were a few finger swipes and things we found through the job, but mostly we just felt it was sloppy (they partially textured all three of our toilets among a bunch of other things that shouldn't be textured). They textured over some pretty obvious things that needed to be fixed (like bubbling). When I pointed it out to them, they "fixed" some of the spots (again a sloppy fix). Then they just gave us a can of texturing to do it ourselves. 
The kitchen cabinets were pretty sloppy too. They didn't tape off very well, so they painted a few appliances and an inch or so of our back splash all around the kitchen. The paint ended up cracking in a few places. When they came back, they were originally just going to use a paint brush and spray paint to touch up, but we told them that they would have to sand and re-spray the cabinets completely. 
The paneling was sprayed also. It was such a light coat that a lot of the wood grain was still showing through. We asked them to respray that too. When they taped it, they pulled the paint off our ceiling and it took them a month or more to come back in and fix it. 
Most of the trim looked okay- they were supposed to caulk the frames as needed and they didn't do that, so we had to call them back to do that too. 
 Overall, it just turned out to be a giant mess. The first few times we called them back to fix things, they were good about it, but after that Steve just stopped answering our phone calls and messages. We called from different numbers-that helped since he'd at least answer- but he wouldn't come fix it.
When he is trying to get your business, he will tell you he will do the job 100% to your satisfaction, but we are still very unhappy with the job they did, and we told them that, but he didn't really care by that point. He ended up saying that we had too high of expectations. 
In addition, we paid with credit card, and he said that it takes a couple days for it to go through, so he might as well charge the whole amount since he had projected they would be done with the job by that point. He asked us if he could just charge the full amount. We let him (I know, we were idiots!), and of course, then he has lots less incentive later to do a good job. 
 He also said that if you ever have any future issues with the work they did, they will come back and fix it for free. I was pretty impressed when he told me that, but I now I don't believe it since he didn't even fix all the issues that needed to be fixed at the moment. 
I still get sick to my stomach every time I think about the job they did. It was just so disappointing and we had to fix a lot of the things they did. 

They got the job done in the time stated, which I thought was great.  They were very nice, and did a great job on the artwork that the kids wanted for their walls.

They got paint all over my new fence that was not sealed yet, with maroon colored paint, when they washed their equipment with the hose. I had to tell them to put plastic on my carpet. They painted the metal frames of my windows, got paint all over the mini-blinds which should have been taken down, they were sloppy and missed spots and painted things that shouldn't have paint on them. I took a bunch of pictures and argued with the owner and he gave me a little bit of my money back otherwise I was going to take them to court. They had to power wash my fence to remove the paint that was absorbed in and he tried to tell me that it won't show once it is stained but I was puting on a clear coat stain so it would have shown through! It was so aggravating using them. Plus the owner said he would be there throughout the day, well that wasn't true. He dropped them off and didn't return until he wanted the other half of his money. I don't know if they improved since 2002 but I would never recommed them to anyone!

The crew arrived on time each day and were professional and efficient.
The house required extra prep and this was done for a small additional charge.

Jon was the greatest!  He came out and gave me an estimate.  When I had questions about his estimate compared to the other estimates I received, he was quick and courteous with the responses.  I decided to use his company and went to Sherwin Williams to pick out my house color and deck stain color.
His crew was very good and professional.  They took care with all of my outside items - ie lawn furniture, grill, etc. The house was prepped with power washing, caulked, and rotted boards were replaced. They started on Thursday and were done by Friday evening.
Jon came by on Saturday morning for the final walk through.  There were a few minor touch ups that we found (nothing major). He would not accept any payment until everything was done to my satisfaction.  His crew was out within a few hours and all the minor touch ups were completed.
I would most definitely recommend Carnival Custom Painting for your painting needs.  I love the way my house and deck look!

It went very well. I asked Jon about substituting the original paint listed in the quote and he agreed that the upgrade would not cost much more and was happy accommodate my request. On the start date I was introduced to the 2 man crew and they were very polite and professional. They started when they said they would, finished on time and did a great clean-up afterwards. Even with the extra work (the repairs, upgraded paint) the final cost with Carnival was about $800 less than an earlier estimate from another painter. The house looks great now and we could not be happier.

The service was okay. They were very nice to deal with. They came around the time they said they would. They draped the entire home to ensure no paint would go where it was not supposed to. They took a lot of care in their process. The experience was very good. When he came to evaluate, I told him all the spots that I was interested in doing and he was very upfront about what could be done in the time available.

They did really great job and I have no complaints

I love him! I would give him 101% approval. He is the best, I would recommend him anytime. They are organized and clean.
