Mr Burgess is the ultimate professional.  He did a superb job of tuning a piano which over time and due to cross country transportation had become about 20% out of tune.  He also found one of the pedals had become disconnected and restored it to normal operation.  In addition, one of the hammers had previously been improperly repaired, and he corrected the repair to return the hammer to a factory perfect condition.  Mr Burgess is very easy and pleasant to work with.  He has vast experience with piano repairs and is a gifted musician himself.  In addition to tuning each key individually, we worked carefully to ensure the texture and timbre of the instrument were optimized.  This piano has never sounded better in the 30 years it has been in our possession. I will definitely use his service again next year to maintain the excellent condition of this wonderful instrument.

We have used Mr. Burgess for years. He did his usual good job in tuning. He is on time, conscientious, and the piano sounds great. I like that he cleans the keys in addition to tuning.

I have to admit they weren't my first choice - I had made an appt with another guy from Angie's List that didn't show up (someone who had more reviews, but maybe too busy to keep accurate records), so I went with Burgess. Burgess answered my phone right away, confirmed my appt, was there ON TIME (this is huge for me), and did the work quickly and accurately. Were very pleasant to work with, and I will be using them again.

Great. Robert Burgess has turned our piano before. He does a great job. After tuning he and my husband played a little music (Mr. Burgess on the piano, my husband on the bass). All had a great time. We will use him again next year.
