They did a professional job. Came prepared with all the tools needed. I was given needed advice on how to take care of my trees. Excellent! I loved how healthy my trees looked afterwards. They cleaned up when they were done with no trace of them being there. I will always be using this company.

It was awesome - the tree looks better already - a little more beat-up in some ways, but at least now it looks like it's healing instead of clinging to life on a thread. Suzie and Cameron really care about trees, and you won't find a more conscientious arborist around. I highly recommend Arbor Docs, and we will be seeing them again this late fall and early spring for continued care of our trees.

Since our Maple tree appeared to be sick, I wanted a Certified Arborist (read competent individual) to diagnose and explain
what’s wrong with it. Suzie Johnson is a Certified Arborist, 'par excellence', with decades of experience and knowledge. She’s also a member of the ISA, International Society of Arboriculture. With those credentials you might think that you could not afford her services. Wrong! The total treatment cost was less that half of what it would have cost to have the tree cut down and hauled off and the stump ground down. You might pay much more for the same services from less qualified, less knowledgeable, and less competent companies that are just out to make a hit-and-run fast buck. Suffice it to say that my research into her competition's prices revealed hers to be reasonable and affordable.

As such, she provided me with the following services: Tree risk assessment, diagnosis of the tree’s sickness, tree preservation planning (short and long term), consulting and education, pest management, pruning and fertilization.

She is also qualified to provide the following services: Tree value estimates , tree planting, tree removal, stump grinding and
removal, cable/bracing , landscape services, and expert witness and litigation.

Her first priority is building a long-term relationship through education. Our first phone conversation lasted at least 30 minutes because she was so thorough in finding our what the problem was and then explaining what could be wrong, how she would treat the problem, what the cost would probably be, and what my options were. She even told me exactly what to buy if I wanted to try the D.I.Y. treatment on the cheap first.

Two days later, she and her two-man crew arrived 30 minutes early, fully equipped to do the job we had agreed
to. Her partner, Cameron, was as knowledgeable as she was, and both showed me, before they got started, all the issues that needed to be dealt with if the tree was to be brought back to good health and saved. The tree had been visibly infested with boring beetles (the Ivory Marked Long Horned type) and a type of tree canker that was spreading. They showed me that termites or ants did not cause the damage as I initially suspected. She stayed with the job until it was complete, instead of getting the crew started and then leaving, as some might do who think they’re too important.

Cameron rapidly culled out the infected limbs and branches by climbing throughout the tree and pointing out the damage as he encountered it. The damage was more prevalent and apparent than we imagined.

Conservatively, the treatment will extend the tree’s lifetime from 3 to 5 years, maybe as long as 10 if given enough TLC, now
that I know what that entails. That’s important to us because of the wonderful shade that it provides over our back patio and the house.

When her crew was finished, and the cleanup was completed to my satisfaction, they left, but she talked to my wife and me for another hour to explain some essential post-operative treatment procedures and to answer any remaining questions we had, about anything.

Thank you, Suzie, Cameron, and Tim.

I couldn't be more pleased with the job and yawl’s performance.

Cameron rapidly culled out the infected limbs and branches by climbing throughout the tree and pointing out the damage as he encountered it. The damage was more prevalent and apparent than we imagined. About a dozen small diameter holes were drilled into the base of the tree, into which tubes of a concentrated chemical were inserted – like getting a shot
of B12 in the arm. Then the ground under the tree’s canopy/drip line was injected in several dozen places with
another chemical to give the root system additional shots of ‘B12’.
