It was a life and death situation. We ended up rushing her to another vet and she's fine today.
We have been going to this vet's office since we moved to Allen almost 25 years ago. I have recommended this office in the past and will continue to recommend it to anyone I know who needs vet services. Currently our maltese needed her shots and is also receiving ongoing medicine treatment for a heart condition. The doctors are very nice and thorough every single visit throughout the years.
One of the doctors met us at the office about 11:30 one night (years ago) when one of our dogs (pug) needed emergency medical care. Another time we had to get emergency care for a dog while on vacation in Georgia. The vet's office in GA contacted the vet here in Allen several times to get history and his opinion on the treatment she was using to make sure he agreed since we would be bring the dog back here to his care. I feel that in both of these cases (and others throughout the years) the doctors at
Allen Veterinary Hospital have gone above and beyond!!
We currently have 3 dogs and 2 cats treated at this office (1 dog and 1 cat are my grown daughter's). I will use this vet's office as long as I have pets and as long as they are in the Allen area. In my opinion, there is no better vet.
It was rainy, so I left the cat in the car to wait while I went in and filled out the paperwork. The receptionist offered to have the assistant help me bring in the cat when the tech was ready to see him. No small favor! He weighs 16 lbs.
From the time the cat left the car until the time he was back in the car for the ride home was no more than 5 minutes. The office is run like a well-oiled machine!!! In, out and DONE!
And the price was better than the last 2 vets I've taken him to.
