They repaired my vacuum. He said I simply had the belt on the wrong way. Put on a new belt and the vacuum works like new. Very HONEST company.

I have used Allen Vacuum on two separate occasions now. I own two vacuum cleaners - a Hoover Wind Tunnel and a backpack ShopVac. Both are older than 10 years and both (strangely enough) broke down within a couple of months of each other. I honestly didn't know whether I should toss them in the trash or fix them. The ShopVac broke first. I dropped it off, and they said they would call with a repair estimate before any work was done so that I could decide whether or not to fix it. The very next day, they called and said it would cost ~$40. I decided to fix it. Within a few days (they had to order a part), it was running again for the price promised.
When the Hoover broke, I wasn't sure if I should spend the money to fix it either. Dropped it off, and they called the next day and said it would be around $20 to fix. I told them to go ahead and also replace the filters while they were at it - the Wind Tunnel has 2-3 filters, and I hadn't replaced them in a few years. The very next day, it was ready. When I picked it up, I noticed that the price hadn't changed even though I added the new filters to my order. They said that they make their own filters and replaced them at no cost.
