Since I live in a very small town there are many services that I must look to the larger surrounding towns for,carpet cleaning is one of those things.I looked over many companies but decided on KMS Services. I was very impressed with the detail of their website,so I called and was given an over the phone quote of 175.00.I told them that my home was around 1300 sq ft,,and that I did not want any large furniture moved,and that I would move everything else before they came.I was told that I likely would not be charged the full 175.00 due to the actual sq ft that would be cleaned. Actual Sq Ft Cleaned--- 452.The one man team should up right on time,and was professional in manner. We walked through the 3 rooms to be cleaned,and I pointed out all the problem areas that needed special attention.I specifically asked that the edges of the carpet be cleaned well, and let hm know that I was not worried about paint coming off the woodwork around those edges as I would be painting soon.Tony did use the proper cleaning tools for Berber Carpet, and did work cleanly.However, he told me that the carpets would be dry within 45 minutes. It took 3 hours for most areas to dry and some areas were still damp 24 hours later.I had to go around the rooms finding places where stain remover and cleaning product had been sprayed, but not cleaned.These I soaked up with white towels.The dirt left behind was unbelieveable. He did not do the edges as asked,nor around edges of doorways,nor behind any of the 3 doors of the rooms cleaned.And, even though there was clearly only a small square footage that required cleaning, it still cost 175.00I then used another product to help with a couple of spots of eyeliner,which did come up. He seemed not to be able to do more than smudge these stains and made them look worse. I will not use this service again,even though they offer a cheaper price,and no fee for driving here,I would have rather paid more and gotten the job taken care of.
