It went very well and we are thrilled with his craftsmanship! We learned he was the framer that origainally had framed our home,and several in the neighborhood. We first had contacted Home Depot regarding the cedar pergaloa they had in the show room. They sent a represtantive over and bid $52.000.00 for the job! Plus they used high pressure sales tactics.
Asking around I found out about Rubio construction. Mr Rubio came over and evaluated our pergala design. We spoke the following day regarding price of materials and his quote. After negotoations Mr Rubio called around for the best cedar prices and called in the order. We paid 1/2 at the start and the other half on completion. The cedar store contacted us with price and we paid it and had it delivered to our home. Mr Rubio and his assistant worked hard and steady until the job was finished which was about 3 weeks. There were a lot of complex cuts and detailed work he did that really gives the Pergala such a beautiful look. Far, far superior to the precut kits available. Rubio is an artist- we LOVE enjoying time on our porch! I found it was easier to speak with him in person since he has a strong Spanish accent.
