We have had our pool for a couple of years now & nothing but issues since day 1. Tyler will not get back to you no matter what! I only went with them because of his dad! They poured the acid around the pool never came back out to fix called since day 1 to get the pour lines fixed, still nothing. We’ve had a diver come out, drained our pool 2Xs & sill have an issue someplace where alegre is getting in. We paid them extra to do a wall etc long story short they are great at taking your money to put a not so great product in, then they are done with you! Be ready to spend thousands on your pool for issues after they put it in. Cut dogs electric fence, never fixed told & us nothing Never helped with natural draining issue Pool leak 60K for trash Algae due to leak 24/7 (green pool) No help from Tyler (owner) or anyone there Once put in you don’t matter anymore they got your $$$$ Acid pour badly can see where poured Auto fill never worked right Black spots on bottom List keeps going…. Save your money & go someplace that will respect you & help you after

I know this is an old job, but I feel that it's important to pass along our experience with Fort Worth Custom Pools. We have learned the hard way that a pool is a very long term decision and to be very careful of which company you choose. Most importantly, get every little detail in writing before you sign that contract. We had 4 different pool companies come to our house to quote our project and decided to go with Fort Worth Custom Pools. The reason was the salesman was very insightful on how to build a pool in a challenging backyard such as ours. We live on a 3/4 acre lot that is very hilly, and drainage around our new pool was our big concern. Well, what we discussed and noted and what we received were two different things. Never really saw the salesman again, he just disappeared, and all we discussed and planned together went with him. After trying to get in touch with him several times without any success, we learned that he had quit. During the whole process, workers just came in and out unannounced for over a month. Trying to get in touch with someone that was running the job was impossible, needless to say the communication was horrible. Nothing was done about the drainage that we discussed with the salesman. During the building process the job site flooded several times. When they poured our decking we came home to find mud and dirt had washed all over the freshly poured concrete. A few months later the concrete decking started to flake and pit. This is when Glen the owner comes into the picture. I tried for a long time to get him to come out and see the disaster on our hands. After several months he finally did. I reviewed what we discussed with the salesman and how none of it was done. He had some workers come out over time to correct some of the issues we had, with little success. A year after the fact in 2006, he did have an overlay sprayed onto the pool decking at no charge to us that he said would last 15 years and will stop the concrete from flaking. The overlay that was sprayed on started flaking flaking off with the concrete a year after it was applied. We did pay $1000 to have the rest of the patio that was built with the house sprayed at the same time as the pool decking decking so it would match. That overlay is still in great condition, due to the concrete was poured by the housing contractor. Glen came out to our house at our request in 2010, so we could show him what was happening. We had a follow up call later and in short Glen stated that it was customers like me that is making him get out of the pool business. Currently, this fall, we are having the pool overlay removed and resurfaced because it is still flaking chips the size of quarters into our pool. It will be a major expense to have this done, but at least it will be done right. I took care of the drainage myself at my own expense, that included regrading around the pool with a tractor. Don't make the same mistake we did, make sure you choose you contractor wisely, get everything in writing, and if you don't like what you see, stop the process immediately.

We had a lot done. I think that they would be more responsive in building the pool than remodeling a pool. They're really good when you can get them out there. The guy who does all the remodel was very frustrated. By my experience, their passion is new-build and not a remodel. It's a matter of getting things done which was the problem. The quality of their work was great. Their foreman was a great guy. Update 8/31/15--It's been about 1 year and 3 months. After 1 year I noticed that the concrete has pulled away from the pool. There is a 2" gap between the concrete deck and the pool. I have reached out to Fort Worth Custom pools several times via phone and email. I have even emailed pictures to them. They have not responded to any phone calls or emails. I am very dissatisfied with the work and responsiveness at this point.

Fort Worth Custom Pools Inc are about two weeks from finishing. We've been dealing with them for the last couple of months. They are excellent. Their design and their attendance to detail are good, and they are on time. He is expensive but you get what you pay for. The guy you deal with has been in business for over 30 years and he owns the company. We are beyond thrilled with what we've gotten. I would recommend them, we're going to have them come back out and do some systems stuff for us.
