Jonesco Construction

Hired Russell Jones of jonescobuilt construction back in July for a small commercial buildout. He was very responsive at first but once he got the second payment he stopped responding and has not responded since. So disappointing and heartbreaking how people take advantage of others. I just can't believe this happened to me. Seriously avoid thus guy and his company.

This is not the only project Jonesco has done for us. We have several rental homes, and we buy sell - flip them. JRussell has been our go to guy for several years now, and his crews are always very professional, they perform excellent work on all our projects. We give JRussell a list of our needs and a budget and it never fails he has always came in on budget and honestly usually under budget. We don’t have to babysit his crews, hey always leave the project clean and in an orderly manner. The only time we did not finish on time was when the supplier had delayed the delivery of our fixtures that were custom ordered. We love the transparency and honestness we receive from Jonesco Construction. I know we have a lifetime relationship here. We have several new projects coming up and have already schedule the projects, started the Architectural plans and ready to permit! I will 100% recommend Jonesco Construction!

Jonesco partially began the project, then disappeared for several weeks. Neither I or the hiring company was able to reach Jonesco by phone, text, or email.. Against my wishes the barn company again rehired Jonesco a 2nd time. For several weeks, they worked only 2-3 days per week, and when they did show up it was not until 1:00 in the afternoon. At one point, Jonesco threatened to put a lien against my property because they had a dispute with the hiring company, which was resolved the same day. 
Jonesco has AGAIN disappeared a 2nd time and cannot be reached. I had 3 reputable contractors out to review their work. All 3 have advised I tear down what they've done and start over. The framing posts in the ground are off by a foot or more, and the City inspector advised that the work was far from meeting building codes.
Jonesco is not capable of simple construction projects, is non-responsive and should be avoided at all costs. Since they have wasted valuable building materials, it will now cost me more to repair the damage they've done than the project was supposed to cost in the first place.

Russel was very kind and sweet talking when trying to won my job. He Insisted on a $3318 deposit to start the work. We signed the contract on 9/14/2015 with a completion date of 9/30/2015. Unfortunately he more or less disappeared after that day. I expressed my sense of urgency to complete the job and he said dont worry we will start this work next day and be done in a week or two. For two weeks after signing the contract he basically disappeared. Said that he was in San Antonio for another job and couldn't do anything till he came back. He came back on 10/4 well after our project completion date. Even then he filed basically a crap permit with everything wrong. Our asbestos report has some other address on it. The city wanted have a plan updated and that was the last I heard from Russel. I have called emailed and texted maybe 30 times and no response. He has basically taken $3318 from me and not even touched my office. Now I have given up and hired another contractor. Very sweet talking guy, but a pathological liar. Stay away,will steal your money and cause you grief.
