Around The Block Moving

Absolutely terrible. The movers damaged our wall and put a huge hole in the staircase. They did not even have the decency to tell us that they had damaged the wall. They were supposed to take the piano upstairs but didn't have enough people for it. They said they would send additional people but never did. I called them back 4/5 times but they never called me back and yet still charged me for the whole move. Then threatened to sue me because i put a block on my credit charge. Absolutely horrible people.

Mike  Quinn ownerwas quick to respond to the message I left on VM. Both homes had stairs and they had narrow corners to come around the movers cover my furniture so it would not be scratched or the walls damaged.  The movers were 15 minutes early each time.  Very polite and professional.  They helped me set up the washer and dryer.

With a difficult building staff- I appreciated the professionalism the most, but their good natured attitude and quick work ethic stood out above services I have used in the past.

My whole experience with Around the Block was great! Scheduling the move was very simple and they were very flexible with my schedule. The day of the move, the staff was right on time and used great care when moving my fragile items. They were also very friendly. Being a single girl at the time, they were very thoughtful to help me set everything up the way I wanted it since it would be tough for me to move things around on my own. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a responsible and reliable moving service!

This company is amazing!  There are absolutely no hidden charges which I have encountered in the past!  The movers were extremely prompt & even called 30 minutes prior to arriving to make sure I was home.  This worked out wonderfully for me as I was the afternoon move & had errands I needed to take care of instead of just waiting around for some insane time frame.
We had three movers working on our job & all were extremely experienced.  They listened to all my concerns, padded, wrapped & secured all of my belongings.  There was absolutely no damage to any of my furniture, which is a problem I have frequently encountered in the past due to the fact that I have quite a lot of wooden furniture.  Everything was moved in a very timely manner & none of the three men ever stopped!  These men had obviously been in this business for a long time & knew what they were doing.  Upon asking them how long they had been in this business, all replied with answers of over a decade, most with the same company the entire time.  I have since recommended this company to both friends & family & all have had similar & all great experiences.  I would never entrust a move to any other company & suggest you don't either.

Crew of 3 showed up on time. Did the job carefully, did not damage anything. Also professional. 
Only thing is they required a 2 hour minimum; our job was probably only a hour's work.

The movers showed up on time. Overall the move went reasonably smoothly except it took 2-3 hours longer than they projected, costing me an extra $200 or so. They also damaged the runners on 2 dresser drawers which prevented the drawers from sliding in the dresser. The movers attempted to fix the drawers at the time of the move, but their repairs failed to fix the problem. So instead of telling me they chose to jam (and I mean, jam!) the drawers into the dresser and conceal the problem. I was not aware the problem wasn't fixed until I tried to open the drawers after they left. It took both hands and both feet on the dresser and a great deal of effort before I could open the drawers. I called the mover repeatedly for at least a month to have them send a person to fix the problem. One time they failed to show up for an appointment. Other times they failed to call me back or reschedule. I finally got disgusted and gave up and fixed the drawers myself.

I WAS SATISFIED WITH THE MOVE. NO ITEMS WERE DAMAGED.
