RUIZ & SONS HOME IMPROVEMENT

Did not go well at all. Almost everything this provider completed was done incorrectly. Very messy, nothing looked very professional. Recently had to have the entire bathroom ripped out and completely redone, which was done correctly and looks very nice and was cheaper! This provider cut vinyl flooring to far back from the bathtub and just filled in the 3/4 in. gap with dap, which was not for use in wet areas and developed black mold on it and peeled back from the tub within a couple of months. The plumbing was done incorrectly and had to have the entire shower redone. My new contractor stated that he has never seen that bad of work. There were not enough studs behind the shower insert, new contractor had to had to add several to get it right. The floor around the toilet had to be replaced, they used plywood that was not thick enough and this created a very uneven floor under the vinyl. The door trim was cut too short on one side and had a 1.5 inch gap. The overflow for the tub was not even with the hole on the tub so there was a visible gap. The paint that was used for the trim and the door was flat paint and not what was expected. Bathroom door was never painted just had the primer that it came with and the trim around the door was cocked, but not wiped off before it dried in clumps all over it. I was not here when contractor finished, hubby just paid them. I had to have them come back to repaint, they had gotten the wall color paint all over the ceiling and just left it, the owners wife came out to paint that. In all honesty, we never should have paid this contractor for the terrible butcher job that was done for us, but by the end, was just ready for them to get out of my house and go away. They knew how it looked when they left and they should never leave a job looking like they did when they finished ours.
