Oct 31 -- I called them. Plan not complete.
Late Dec -- Randy showed us the complete plan. It was missing several of the items we'd specifically requested. Overall it was a beautiful plan, just missing much of the specifics we thought he'd gotten. He said he'd hand it off to and quot;Mistyand quot; to get it updated.
Jan 6, 2013 -- Brook emails to see if we have any questions about the plan. We say we're waiting on the corrected one. She obviously did not know about this.
Feb 15, 2013 -- Received the updated pool plan (approx 6 weeks after Randy said it'd be corrected). We decide to proceed with trees and bubblers for the trees only. Work requested to begin ASAP.
Mar 8, 2013 -- Sign construction agreement
March 13, 2013 -- We call to ask when construction will begin. Get email back that it will start on March 20. We let them know that we will be out of town for a few days after that (a portion required workers to get in the garage).
March 20, 2013 -- Flags appear in our yard, but no one calls to let us know when anyone will be there. No one has consulted with us about the tree placement. We ask Lorn who comes to start the sprinkler project about the placement. He offers no help and says and quot;if you don't like where they are you can move them.and quot; He and I move the flags. I once again ask for his input. He refuses to offer input on what will look natural in the space. The project is not completed that day, but arranged to be completed on the day we return from our trip.
March 24, 2013 -- We return from our trip. No one shows up to complete the project. We call to ask about it. Brook has no idea, but researches. They did not have the quality of trees they plant on hand but will need to order them. They'll be in on Wed. We specifically tell Brook that we will have to leave work early or work around our jobs to be able to meet the workers for this project. She arranges it for March 27. Our alarm system is putting out error messages. We ask if a line has been cut. Brook knows nothing about this. Lorn later tells us that they had cut our phone line but had rewired it. No one ever told us this (it disabled our alarm system while we were on a trip).
March 27, 2013 -- I leave work early to meet the workers. No one shows up. I call Brook. The trees didn't come in. She apologizes.
March 31, 2013 -- Trees in and project finally completes, but the placement of the trees looks like a small tree farm rather than a natural array of several trees in an open area we'd hope to achieve by paying for the professional consultation. Randy Glenn Landscaping took no responsibility for it and would offer no methods to help us achieve the desired look.
From the above timeline, you can see that it took six months to install 7 trees and the associated bubblers. The construction agreement included a promise for and quot;professional workand quot;. The work was done late, not to our expectations, disabled an alarm system, and often rudely -- definitely not professional. Needless to say, we will not be doing the rest of the $57,000 project. Although several of the individuals there are very nice and knowledgable, our interaction with them seems to indicate that their infrastructure/administrative personnel have not grown adequately to support their amount of business. We cannot recommend them.
