This situation with my mother and her house should be reported and taken seriously. If it was just about bad service then this review would terrible in itself. When a grown man bully's an older woman in her sixties then you know you have to step up and say something. The plumber came over with his estimate was really nice right at first and gave us an exceptional bid for which we rewarded his business the job. My mother had told him that the only thing she asked for was to have her job prioritized when he got started. The plumber had promised that he was slow at that point and would be able to get done in about a week. The first day went okay, although he was 3 hours late and forgot his tools. They jackhammered a new drain and put in connections for two shower panels and set the bathtub. He also put some new knobs on water inlets even though we had requested nipples to make the sheetrock work easier. He had decided to quit after that saying that we needed to get other work done. None of the people we could get to do the sheetrock wanted to do it without the plumber finishing his work minus setting the toilet and the sink. All we needed him to do was to move the pipe that was above the bottom bathroom to ground level and fix the leak that was up there and then put up the surround cutting holes for the new PVC pipes. A day's work at best maybe two and he could have started on the top bathroom. Then became the game of phone tag for a week and a half and meanwhile, I have water still dripping from the upper bathroom (video included), but also mammoth water bugs coming out of pipes and drains attracted by the water. At about the two and half week mark he finally came over and held firm he couldn't' do nothing until the sheetrock was done. However, we still needed him to fix the pipe above the bottom bathroom so they could put in the ceiling. My mom at that time told him that he really needed to finish his work especially the leaky pipe before he did anything else and we would handle any problem with sheetrock. The plumber then got real aggressive with my mother and slammed outside to go and get some plumbers putty. He then slapped some on the top bathroom tub and told her, "This is how I will fix it! I will be back to finish when I want to come back and it's convenient for me. You better feel lucky I didn't tear up both bathrooms and leave you with nothing". With that, he slammed the putty and left. When I found out I was enraged and we fired him on the spot and demanded a receipt for everything he had done. He refused at first but finally sent it to us overnight when we threatened to call the IRS. Our options at this point after wasting a down payment of five hundred dollars were to write this review and report him to the state board of plumbers. Single older women need to be especially careful of this plumber as he is bullying, intimidating, and condescending demeanor with them. If my mom had to go without plumbing forever we would still not use Adams Plumbing.
