The service provider came out to our cabin rental/home business with the expectation to only have to replace the pump on a washing machine that was otherwise in complete working condition. The washing machine had already been moved outside and drained, so just needed the pump replaced. As a homeowner, I did time the work done at 31 minutes and 2 seconds. As he arrived initially, I spoke with him as he saw the washing machine had been moved and drained and we discussed the price should not be more than $225. He then made the absurd request to have the washing machine put back into the very tight space where it sits and hooked back up in order for him to replace the pump. We did have a hose outside and told him he could hook up to the hose in order to test the pump, so he did change the pump without moving the machine back inside. When he tested the machine, it cycled all the way through to the last cycle and at that point the pump broke. The service provider demanded he be paid anyway for his time and the cost of the part. He asked that we pay the $305 charge with a check made out to him personally rather than to his business, but would not provide us the 1099 for our tax purposes as he is not licensed in our state. In addition, he insisted that we post a good review while he was still there. We feel we were taken advantage of and also had to purchase a new washing machine.

Contacted me quickly, arrived when he said he would, then when the job turned out to be relativey simple he charged me LESS Would absolutely hire again.

The issue with my refrigerator was that it was not staying cool. He arrived early which was a nice surprise but didn't even pull the refrigerator out to check the fan but said I needed a new fan (which was running at the time) He also broke the track for the bottom freezer basket and stated the bearing exploded and he would have to take the piece back to the shop to fix it. When he started telling me the costs for the parts I indicated that I may as well replace the refrigerator as it was an older unit. I paid for the service call and he left with the part he broke. I was not impressed. Won't be using his service again.
