Fannon Fencing

Our original contractor did not follow through so we called others from the phone book and explained we had the fencing already delviered and needed it installed.  Sid Fannon was the most responsive and came out quickly, surveyed the job, listened to our needs, and agreed to install.  He failed to mention that he would not be part of the installation team nor that he would be out of the state while the project was going on.  On the agreed upon date two young men arrived, one approximately 30 minutes late.  The bobcat had already been dropped off and after reviewing the project, they began laying out for the post holes.  About 30 minutes later the "foreman" told us he needed to go into town to buy twine; I gave him some.  We then left while they were digging the first hole, advising we would be back in about 2 hours but had our cell phones if they needed us.  We returned 3 hours later (no phone calls) to find them gone and onlyone hole partially dug. They had gone to lunch! The first day went very slowly but when they returned the second day they made good progress.  After the fench was up they worked on the gates.  From the beginning we were concerned because they were not installing supports posts in concrete.  We were unable to reach Sid Fannon himself but the foreman kept saying it would be fine while the other young man kept double-checking the posts.  Once the gates were up they simply left without walking the job with us.  From then on out it was a nightmare.  We spent months calling Sid Fannon; he sent someone twice to repair the problem.  He finally came himself and agreed more work was needed; he and another man reinstalled support posts in concrete but the gates continued to sag;  he never returned to complete the job.  After multiple phone calls and broken appointments we hired another contractor who repaired the job in less than two hours.
