DHC Comfort is a locally owned and operated company by Jerry and Tammy Denton, a husband and wife team. They have approx. 14 employees. DHC does not use subcontractors. DHC's motto is "We're not comfortable until you are!" DHC goes above and beyond to make you and your family comfortable. We service many of our neighbors and friends. The service tech called prior to his arrival. He was very professional and took the time to explain what he was doing. He had to pull the igniter out of the heat unit as it was not creating the spark needed to ignite the gas. He cleaned it, made a slight adjustment and reinserted it. He made sure that it was able to ignite several times before closing the unit. He did say that the control board may be going bad so he looked up the part, made sure it was in stock and gave me the cost on the spot. He had a wireless tablet that he was able to use to complete the service call and send an email copy to me.

We were having problems with the unit freezing up. Although the tech checked everything out & stated he couldn't find a problem, the unit froze again. My husband ended up fixing the problem himself but DHC has been professional in our previous experience(s).

Matt arrived when he said he would.  He went about his work in a professional manner, being certain to respect our home by placing boot  protectors on his shoes.  After tuning our systems, he took the time to explain the problem we were experiencing with our system and the options we have to solve the problem.  He took all the time needed to answer my questions and left information that I could use to compare and research the options.  He seemed  comfortable with the fact that we were planning to research and compare.  He was knowledgeable about the systems he represents and was able to give some comparisons of the competition which I have been able to confirm through my research.

We called DHC to request service on the humidifier.  A technician came to our home later that day and repaired and cleaned the humidifier.  As usual, we were very pleased with the service.

My heat pump was not working at the start of this (Spring) season. I called and set up an appointment to have the unit checked. A technician was dispatched in a timely manner. After he arrived and did a check, he told me that I needed freon. He performed this service and left. The unit appeared to be working, but later in the evening I discovered it was not cooling. The next day I called and the manager came out. He was very professional and decided that the previous technician had not beam properly installed the freon as the unit was even lower on freon this time. After he installed the freon, the unit appeared to work and we have had no trouble with it since then. There was no charge for the second visit.
