Larry Raymer Lawnmower Repair

We asked Mr Raymer to get our mower running after the solenoid had shorted out causing the rubber on the battery cables to catch fire. My husband spoke with him and Mr Raymer said he would pick up the mower that afternoon. He did not show. The next day my husband called him again. He said he had written the name & number on the bottom of a page in his tablet then flipped to the next page & never went back. He came to get the mower on that day. He called my husband a week later on 4-7 and said he had just started looking at it & to what extent did he want it repaired. He had totally forgotten what was wrong with it as my husband had spoke with him in detail about the repairs. My husband said battery & battery cables and 1 belt as he had taken him the other belt previously and 2 pulleys. On Tuesday, 4-12 he brought the mower back without the pulleys so for a battery, solenoid & 2 battery cables he charged us $382 my husband had told him to bring the mower back because we could not afford for him to put the pulleys on..he did go by his house the next day & picked up the pulleys which were the wrong size and Mr Raymer had charged him $30 for those parts.When my husband asked him for an itemized bill he stated he did not deal with bills and only accepts cash ! This man is retired and fixes mowers on the side for cash only. There is no paper trail nor will he remember what you need done and will charge you outrageous prices ! He had a cub cadet mower at his house and told my husband he had no idea who it belonged to and he just had to wait for the owner to call or show up to claim. I will NEVER & I suggest you never take your mower to this man.
