I was noticing rust along the bottom of my aging water heater. I called Marvin, and he was actually at my house in about 12 minutes. He looked at the heater and suggested some less expensive things to try short of replacing the water heater. I ended up deciding to just replace it. He had the job done quickly at a fair price. It's working great. Thanks, Marvin.

It went great! I left a message and had a call back within 30 minutes. They showed up on time and got right to work. They were very professional and personable. It was very reasonably priced. I would definitely call them to work in the future.

Mr. Cornett returned my call within a few minutes of when I had left a message and he was able to come and install the water hearter the same day. He and his workers arrived at the time they had stated and were very professional, polite and efficient. They immediately began working and finished the job in about an hour (we already had the new water heater here, so he did not have to go and get it). Mr. Cornett was extremely informative in all questions I asked and he as well showed us the different features and instructions on operating the water heater, such as setting the temperature, away on vacation and how to lock and unlock to keep children from being able to adjust the water temperature. We were extremely pleased with Mr. Cornett and the work performed and will definitely use his services again the future. I highly recommend this company.

After having the sewer line backup into the laundry room on a Friday. It was snaked out by Roto Rooter. Several hours later, when running the washer, it did it again. They came back, on saturday, re-snaked the line and it came up with clay on it. We were told that the blockage was outside the house.
We called Cornett Services Group, who came on Monday. They had to find the sewer pipes inside the house, which involved removing part of a wall in the basement. From that line they determined, via camera, where the line was broken - fortunately it was on the other side of the wall, just outside of the house.
They cut through 6 inches of concrete, creating a 9 foot long trench. They then dug out the line and discovered that the collapse was the original line from the house, made from something called orangeburg sewer pipe (bituminous fiber pipe made from asphalt impregnated layers of wood pulp and pitch pressed together ? essentially tar paper).
After digging out the trench they finally located the line that was re-routed around the deck when the swimming pool was put in. They connected new PVC piping to that line and we had no more trouble.
They are extremely professional, hard working, men who do a job that is basically disgusting (in my opinion). They cleaned up after themselves, removing the slabs of concrete, and replacing the dirt in the trench.
We then called DeBord Construction to have the cement replaced.
We have had no problems since Cornett Service Group was here.

First of all, they showed up literally within a couple hours off being called. They were very courteous and professional and made us feel like our problem really mattered to them. Even though they didn't have to, they went the "extra mile" to get parts and took "add ons" in stride.
They came back on schedule the second day to finish up and provide us with a leak free house and resolved all our plumbing issues even though that wasn't part of the initial agreement! They also took time to coach us ways to help our plumbing system using CLR.
We have found us a dependable, honest, professional, and friendly plumbing service who is willing to do the little things that most people need. I would highly recommend the Cornett Service Group without reservation.

After being unable to clear my clogged line, Marvin sat down with me and explained the problem. He also told me what "had" to be done to get things back in working order, as well as what "should" be done to prevent future problems and provided me with rough estimates for both. Because of budget constraints, I decided to go with what "had" to be done for now. Marvin was determined to have the repairs made by the end of the day to prevent me from having to stay with family overnight. Both he and his crew stuck with the job until it was complete and then double-checked everything to make sure there were no issues.
As a fairly recent newcomer to town, I was dreading the task of finding an honest and trustworthy plumber and had actually been putting it off for some time. Thanks to seeing Marvin's truck and crew around town so often, as well as to Angie's List, I found my man! Both Marvin and his crew are extremely courteous and professional and clearly know their "stuff". I'm looking forward to working with them again in the future to complete some other projects I have in mind. Thanks for a job well done!

I called CSG and Marvin called me back same day. He said he would stop by and look at the situation and give me an estimate. I was really surprised when he decided to fix it right then and there. The price was well worth the job performed. He made sure the drain was not leaking before he covered it back up. They explained to me why it had broken and showed me the repair job. I will definitely use them again should the need arise.

I called Marvin after having a bad experince with another contractor. Marvin called me back the day I called him. He happened to be in the area so he looked at it that day. He called me that evening. He explained the problem, what would be involved in the repair and estimate of the cost, the coupon from Angies list was taken into consideration. He was 99.9% sure of the problem and he could make the needed repairs. The day he was to come, he had an equipment problem, he called and told me he would be 30 minutes late. To put it bluntly, Marvin is a "class act." I could not have asked for a more knowledgeable, courteous, prompt and professional person. The tenant called me on Saturday in a panic, she and i assumed it had something to do with the repair. I knew Marvin did not work weekends so I left a message. Shortly after I had left the message, the tenant called me back to tell me there wasn't a problem, it had something to do with her grandson and a drain. Within an hour, Marvin called me. Being a widow who did not deal with real estate prior to my husband's death, I take great pleasure in knowing there are honest, hard working people like Marvin. who do not take advantage of the situation. Thank you Marvin and Angie's list.

Contacted company late on Friday. They said they had another job to complete on Mon/Tues, but should be able to do my job on Wed. They called before they arrived to confirm appt and came when promised. Employee was professional, friendly and courteous. He worked efficiently and took care to avoid making a mess or doing any damage to my home. He asked for my preferences re: how I wanted it installed and offered ideas and suggestions. I used this company for the first time recently to install a new closet vent for my septic system and also solicited their opinion on a weekend emergency (our landscaper inadvertently disconnected our water line from our home late on a Saturday afternoon). I contacted them first, but unfortunately they were out of town at the time. Even though they weren't able to do the emergency job for me, they took time to make a referral and answered several questions for me in the process. I've been thrilled with their responsiveness, their professionalism, and the quality of their work. I will gladly use them again in the future and highly recommend them to others in our area looking for a good plumber.

i had a septic odor under my kitchen sink that was permeating my whole house. I had the septic tank pumped a few weeks ago, but the odor persisted. Turns out I had a closet vent in the cabinet that was faulty. Apparently the valve was stuck in an open position, thereby allowing the odors to escape. They replaced the valve for me and the odor has disappeared. They tried the least expensive, least invasive option, which appears to be the correct one. They did not try to perform any unnecessary repairs.
